We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

The facilities will be good once they have been built. We were promised a pub and shops and are still waiting for these, 4 years on. However, these are now beginning to be built. The design of the estate is good. It is extremely spacious compared to other new-build developments and parking is good. We feel the finish of the properties is/are extremely disappointing. We had builders’ materials left inside, chunks of wall missing amongst other minor details. I know many houses local to us (including ours) had issues with plumbing in the bathroom resulting in leaks through ceilings which needed fixing. However, they are extremely good value for money. Our garden is really spacious - which includes side entrance and a driveway.

The development is well designed and has a pleasant aesthetic appeal with many planted trees. An added bonus is the large modern medical centre on the development. Many residents who own Persimmons homes share the same complaint of poor quality of finish to the exterior (e.g. excess mortar in blobs on the brickwork), and the biggest issue is that the rear gardens continue to become waterlogged and 'boggy', due to the amount of clay beneath and the brick rubble and other building residue which remains under the poorly laid turf. The biggest issue with the Persimmons development unfortunately is their lack of care or quality control during and after construction.

Poor design internally, we have a square of 4 doors, absolute waste of space, their could’ve been a better design, no built in wardrobes like other developers, no storage full stop, cheap internal paint and fittings, and cow boys to fit them, endless problems with guttering, oven and mould to name a few! No community facilities still, 3 years since purchasing, no shops, community centre, pub they can’t even build a little bridge to connect the local area. Inconsistent front gardens, ours is the worst designed in the street. Pay a massive service charge just to cut a 1m x 1 m square piece of grass that is half dead anyway.
