We love our development. It’s very spacious, and the layout is great. The garden is a good size for what you get with some new builds these days. The management has been good too, we have had a couple of snags but the team have been fairly quick to respond.

The area is perfect for us, a couple of local pubs, a local Tesco and the bigger supermarkets just a few minutes drive away. The walk to the beach for the dogs is about half an hour, so that’s not too bad. We are on a private road off the street and we love it. Very quiet in the evening, a little noisy in the but that’s expected as I am one of the first to move into the development whilst they continue to build.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I can’t think of much to share that hadnt been covered.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
With care and quick response which has been great to receive.
Lovely location, pleased with the developer.
Overall I have a very good impression of Foxglove Meadows. It’s a pleasant and friendly place to live, and nicely removed from the busy roads of Weston. Since moving in, I have had to request fixes from Lovell for a few things, most recently including redoing the floorboards in my bedroom which were creaking since I moved in. This was done over two days and has been a big improvement. My only problems have been with the fencing contractor for the project, UK Fencing and Landscaping, who have failed to attend to fix my leaning fence on four occasions now.

I really like the location of Foxglove Meadows. There are open fields and hills right on my doorstep, and I often see deer from my bedroom windows.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had understood ahead of time that a new-build house requires a BT line to be set up and installed before any internet package can be purchased. This didn’t happen until after I moved in, so I had to live without internet for a number of weeks.
What is the best feature of your home:
My favourite feature of my home is the location, with fields and hills visible from my back windows. I also like the living room with its French doors out to the garden, and the privacy afforded to me due to the location of my plot.
Beautiful house but development could be improved.
Very happy with the house with only minor snags which are to be expected. Gardens could have been better as drainage seems poor and turf was poorly done.
Biggest issue is the road as they still haven’t been tarmaced, almost 2 years after we moved in. The condition is very poor and there are a lot of obstacles due to drains sticking out etc.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Generally very happy with the house, only some very small Snags which had always been sorted in good time.
The condition of the road is very poor and we are still waiting for it to be completed even after being promised it would be finished along time ago.
We were promised Virgin media would be available from the start but its almost been 2 years and this still isn’t the case.
Should be a nice development if completed to the standard promised but this still seems to be along way from being true.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Timescale of development work as the completion date seems to change constantly.
What is the best feature of your home:
General layout is very good and we love the Kitchen.
Lovely location and friendly area
I really like Foxglove Meadows. My house is nice and feels well-built, and the neighbourhood is very friendly so far. I love the location; it’s very peaceful and I really like waking up to a view of woodland in the distance with animals grazing on the surrounding fields.
A few smaller issues: the upstairs of my house is creaky. I have had to request Lovell return to redo the flooring, which is a massive pain for me given that I have a full floor’s worth of furniture and carpeting in place now. I feel like this way poorly handled by the developer. I have not seen or heard from the property management team yet, so I can only hope they will do a good job of maintaining the estate in future.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Parking was not arranged particularly well by the developers; a number of vehicles are parked on the road every day which can cause issues with other drivers accessing their driveways.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had checked the flooring better for creaks before moving in and having carpet installed. I am surprised this was okayed by the developer when they did their final quality review of the house before completion.
What is the best feature of your home:
The best feature of my home is definitely the location. I have lovely views across the surrounding woodland. I only hope this isn’t spoilt in future by extensions to the development.
5* Builder? Definitely not
The purchasing process was amazing, right up until a few weeks before moving in. We were forced in to completing on 30 June by Lovells, with everyone knowing that our buyer’s mortgage would not be available till 1 July. So we had to return to our home in North Bristol and squat overnight.
The first few weeks were good with the assistant site manager fixing snags quickly but…
When aftercare took over it was a horrible lengthy experience to get anything else rectified properly. I had to continually chase the help desk and took time off work on various occasions.
I have raised two formal complaints under Lovells processes, neither of which have I had a written reply to.
The road surface is yet to be completed 3 months after it was promised.
We understand there were many problems raised by Bristol Water which caused at least 20 man holes to be dug out to replace and repair pipework.
We’re sure it will be a lovely place to live, but only once the development is finally completed.

Its a lovely location on the edge of Weston-Super-Mare and a small development compared to most here. Lots of local facilities of course.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The house demonstration should have been sent least two weeks before we moved vrd in
It was in fact only three days!
What is the best feature of your home:
Its overall design is very good from the nice hallway through to kitchen/diner
My first ever home and I am glad it is in Lovell
The development was going on schedule. The maintenance is good and are very easily reachable. The development is a close proximity to hospital, pubs, shops, industrial hubs. Better options for jobs and services. Love the nearby public spaces and is almost a 5 min walk to the nearest watering hole.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
I like the place because it is away from the hustle bustle but we can reach the town in like 5 mins. beach, pubs, school all within a few mins drive.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Good built, quality equipments used. Near proximity to hospital and school which is a big thumbs up for me
What is the best feature of your home:
It is spacious and good design. There is more options to make attic space in use for future.
The design for a new build development is okay.
The design for a new build development is okay. The park appears to be for younger children however it is younger children who get taken to parks and play spaces.
It requires facilities for secondary children so there is no antisocial behaviour and gym equipment for the community to bring the development up to date.
Some benches in the green spaces would be nice and a community orchard would have been an idea in the green space.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
There are local shops, however parking is not good.
There are no dog waste bins.
Open spaces are adequate.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Snags.
Cold front rooms.
Check carpets.
Not getting bins for ages.
What is the best feature of your home:
The green space at the back.
Multi heating system.
Lovely Home!
It is a lovely development and we are very lucky to be living here. We really like the idea of there being a footpath that takes you around the whole development. The houses are all nicely designed and look very modern. Sales team are lovely and always there to answer any questions.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
We are really happy here, it is a lovely area to live, neighbours are all friendly and it is very quiet on our road.
The downside is that we do not have any rubbish bins, so we are currently having to use the skip opposite our house.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
When it comes to fitting your washing machine, you have to make your own waste pipe holes in the cabinets as this is something Lovell refuse to do.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Responded quickly to little issues however there are still several jobs to be completed. Have had several problems with the window fittings which are yet to be resolved.
Excellent home
We were the first people to move onto our development and have loved living here, although it is a bit noisy during the day ( to be expected with other houses being built) the builders are very considerate of not making too much noise around residents. Any issues ( albeit very minor) have been sorted our pretty much immediately by the site team. The only negative we have is the garden, although it was explained in the initial reservation meeting, the slope in the garden took us by surprise and we are now investing a considerable amount of money to get it landscaped.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
At the moment there is a lack of things for children to do however, before the development is finished there will be a play area which will make our area perfect for us
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Because we bought our house off plan, the slope of the garden was worse than we had initially expected, this means that we have incurred costs to get it to a point where it is usable, however this is partially our fault as we didn’t truly understand how large the slope would be.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The response to our issues has been excellent, can’t fault it
Lovely House on the hill.
Our development is lovely. Styled very nicely and laid out very well. We are at the top of a hill and have fantastic views of bream down and the mendip hills. I have no buildings in front of me and have what is going to be a footpath leading around the area. We are very early into the development so can’t really comment on management.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Location is fantastic with views of the mendip hills. Very quite on my road as it isn’t a through road. Staff have been fantastic and neighbours seem lovely.
There is a Tesco express within a 15 minute walk.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
My only negative was the sky package we paid for ended up being redundant as sky will not use it.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Developer has sorted issues very swiftly. We only have a few little things outstanding.

I am really happy with the service that has been provided with Lovell homes.
I am really happy with the service that has been provided with Lovell homes. They had updated me regularly and informed me when everything was happening. I am impressed with the quality of the build and personally feel like it is a lot better than other new builds. Staff are very friendly and will answer any questions.
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
I really am happy with where I am based. It is nice and quite, a good area and everyone is very friendly. but there has been a few things I am unhappy with such as the council not collecting the bins, and street lamps not being available
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
To contact the council regarding council tax and bins and this is becoming very difficult
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have responded well in a quick amount of time. Still some jobs to complete though.
