Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area around Upperbanks is really convenient and has everything close by. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, and even a cinema just a few steps away at Rochdale Riverside. Gyms, supermarkets, and other essentials are also within easy walking distance, which makes day-to-day life simple. Transport links are excellent—the bus station is right around the corner, and both the Metrolink and train station are nearby, making it easy to get into Manchester or travel further out. I haven’t had any issues with public transport so far. New Baillie Street is fairly quiet for a town centre location. There is some traffic noise during the day, but it’s minimal and doesn’t really bother me. Bin collections are regular, and the area is generally clean and well maintained. Sometimes it can get a bit lively in the afternoons, but overall it feels like a safe and well-kept area. It’s a central spot with everything you need close by, while still offering a bit of peace and quiet when you want it.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been really responsive and professional. There are regular checks carried out by qualified professionals for things like fire safety, warm water supply, electrical systems, and other essential services, which gives peace of mind. Anytime I’ve raised a problem, they’ve responded either the same day or the next, depending on who’s needed. I had an issue with my fridge, and it was fixed on the day I preferred, based on my own schedule. Overall, I’ve felt really supported whenever something has come up.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how active and social the community here is. There are regular resident events, shared spaces like lounges and a co-working area, and even a private garden, which really add to the living experience—but that’s something you don’t fully realise just from a viewing. It’s a great place if you enjoy a sense of community. A tip I’d share with new neighbours is to make the most of these shared facilities and events—they’re a good way to settle in and meet people

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Upperbanks has its pros and cons. Well-connected by public transport, making it easier to commute to nearby cities like Manchester. It’s also close to shops, restaurants, and services that cater to residents' daily needs. While it offers modern facilities, the cost of living might be higher compared to other parts of Rochdale! Ongoing development in the area may cause temporary disturbances and noise outside the hotel Overall, living in Rochdale Upperbanks offers a balance of modern living and community, but it's essential to weigh the potential drawbacks based on your lifestyle preferences.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
If I have a problem with the apartment, all I gotta do it report it and they will fix it.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
That we may had that 1 month free rent as a new tenant instead of an existing tenant.
