Distillery Tower – Tenant

The building itself is really well done and designed. Even though it’s just next to the station the doubled glazed windows prevent any noise which is not even noticeable. 24 concierge and private parking make the development very secure. The management of the building really cares about the tenants. It’s regularly being cleaned which I really appreciate!

The layout of the interior is modern and useful. There are no wasted spaces as everything is well designed and functional.

The unique thing I could complain about is bike storage. there is no closed room for bikes only the racks which make me keep my bike inside of the apartment, But other than that I’m really happy about living.
here.

All building management is very polite and helpful!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location is perfect – DLR station and a short walk to New Cross gives a really good commute. There are plenty of buses and the bus stop is right out of the building.

There are all the necessary shops with a short distance of walking: Asda, Tesco, Coop, Deptford Market. Plenty of bars, restaurants and local shops which provide fresh vegetables and fruits every day.

In the area of the building, there is a nice park where you can exercise which is a nice benefit of having some nature around. There are few kindergartens and facilities for kids.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

To be honest there is nothing that I wish I knew before. Before moving in I’ve checked everything that’s important for me in the development. There is one thing that nicely surprises me. The web portal for tenants.
I found it super useful buying/selling items between tenants, general information from the management

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always! They are super helpful and friendly! They took it seriously when I complained once about a noisy neighbor. They solved the problem in a way that everyone was happy.

Very good transports links. Trains every 5 mins minutes and only 20 minutes into central London which is cool. Gated so feels very secure. Modern and spacious. Small supermarket across the road. Close to Greenwich, New cross and Deptford good night life.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Yet to find any negatives. However couple of instances happening at the front and back of complex involved police ?not sure on crime rates

The design of the building is stark; what makes it is its prime location and breathtaking views. It has a 24/7 concierge team who are really great people. The area it falls short is with its relations between managing agent PPM and leaseholders, which can be quite strained.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Originally the area lacked varied entertainment, but much change has taken place since the Distillery was developed by Galliard Homes. There is now an abundance of bars and restaurant, and the new Seager Gallery.

What is the best feature of your home:

Terrific views, wide hallway, in a great building, full of interesting and energetic people.

I’ve heard a few residents really don’t respect the building and in the common areas which is disappointing because it can be better looked after. My flat specifically is lovely however when I did move in on the first day the oven wasn’t working and we weren’t notified. However the building as whole is great, a nice place to live in if you’re working since station is close by. Another thing is that my bike was once stolen from the bike lock!!!!!!!!!!! And nothing was done about it.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

There’s a few local shops near by and good picks for online food delivery near by

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The security isn’t so good!

Noisy

The development is very communal, my neighbours are very friendly and we have a WhatsApp group chat where we bring up issues.
My flat is okay in size, however I do think it’s too expensive.
The building management have been quite slow to fix issues in our flat.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like my flat because it is close to the train station. I dislike how noisy it can get at night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

They’ve been slow to fix issues in general, however they do get fixed.

Great building

I live with my brother here and it’s a nice space for us both. Our balcony’s on the ground floor and it can bring in several animals and that means we have a really noisy spot. Otherwise the building is very clean and the neighbours are great. The commute to work is really nice and quick because of the DLR

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Right next to deptford bridge!
Brings in a lot bugs and we’ve had mice before since were on ground and we live facing the park.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I still have to wait for permit for parking and I’ve requested a long time ago

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

One if the higher flats but that’s out of hand really.

Nice design

My flat is a 2 bedroom, would say that there’s alot of space for what I pay.
I feel like the flat is good for families as there’s a park outside and lots of amenities near by.
In my flat I feel safe but outside of the development is not as safe.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like that there’s a park attached to the development, I dislike that the development is open.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I was well informed when I moved in

My building is part of the council and people really don’t take care of it, the lift is also broken right now which isn’t nice since we live on one is the top floor. The area is lovely to live in and I love my balcony!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the park close by it’s nice for me and my girlfriend. I dislike the noise that comes from it since my apartment is facing the park too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking is difficult for council.

Good location

My building specifically is well maintained! Although the council and the residents clearly don’t look after the rest of the building blocks! But overall the place is a nice area to live in. I usually just go from and to work and it’s a really good commute to central London.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Dislike that the place is half council and private! The council part isn’t well looked after and facilities are almost always broken.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It can get noisy and you can hear Ambulance/police a lot due to them in the area

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Not too bad, they are responding to all the problems that we’ve been face with and are currently dealing with those in the council blocks

It’s not bad

The design quality of the building isn’t the best, it looks like they rushed their job while building it. The walls are quite thin we can always hear our neighbours walking round. However it’s really close to the station which is great when getting to work and central. Loads of shops near by, like co-op to shop when in a rush.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the that the station is close and I dislike that it can be quite noisy around here due to kids in the park and it can attract a few gangs near by too!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The hotel near by, the area is always busy and not all guests are respectful to the area.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The quality of the walls and small things in the kitchen,
