loved it for 12 years

There are like 5 stations and overground within walking distance, you can walk to most places and its a nice walk along the river, You can get into tower of London for 1 pound because you are a resident of tower hamlets.
Theres so much character about the area as it have life and its near both modern and old stuff.
I also dislike the groups of young people that are anti social and lurk here sometimes and they don’t live here and are very loud and they spit.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I love the location as its ideal and the walkway is beautiful but busy
I dislike how the delivery drivers can speed through the walkway and theres no support by Berkeley.
Shared ownership gets treated differently also compared to private tenants. The managing team can ignore you. Theres a bit of drug dealing that happens near this area too from young people and its a bit obvious.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’ve lived here before any of the any things was built, but i wish i knew living on the ground floor they would put taller trees to give me more privacy

Why did you choose this development:

i chose it because the area was good and nice particularly the location plus barclay is a good development company that is respectable. theres a lot of history in the area to which i personally love, theres a big story behind it which i cool.

Times Square = lovely

The lagoon in the middle and walking up to the sound of fountains is amazing and very peaceful. The balconies are a good size, all the development is modern, clean and well kept. The concierge team are mixed with some super nice and others less helpful but generally you can get what you need. The only issue is the number of temporary staff and bad handover to them so they don’t know what’s going on.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Quiet on the weekends but has a cinema, pubs and Sainsbury’s around the corner. Really good transport links from both Aldgate East and Aldgate as well as tower gateway if you need dlr.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s a good place to boris bike from and it’s a lot quicker than walking.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Have more natural light as it’s low down, the upper floors get more of the light as it’s a tall development.

Modern, Clean Complex in a Convenient Location

First of all the concierge reception team are great, they are on hand 24/7 and respond quickly to helping resolve issues including deliveries, handling kids hanging around the property and general inquiries. The location is great it has surrounding train stations (aldgate east) a cinema, sainsburys, bars, restaurants all within a 1 minute walk if that! the building is very modern with glass balconies and a light grey exterior. The courtyard has a lovely water feature in the centre with pathways surrounding it. The actual apartment itself is very well kept and a modern design. I feel safe in this environment however we do get kids at night that are very loud and deal drugs. Also we get a lot of delivery drivers racing down the walkway nearly knocking people over- very dangerous! Overall i recommend city quarter as it is a beautiful london home.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the aesthetics of the building as it is super new and modern, it is very localised and the area is beautiful. i dislike the group of antisocial teenagers that do drugs outside our building at night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is nothing in particular that I wish I knew beforehand. I am more than impressed with my choice of property. There was nothing hidden from me when I moved in, it has exceeded my expectations!

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I don’t like the electric hobs as they are very difficult to use. Also the basin gets green when it gets hot. It doesn’t smell but it doesn’t look great.

I like the exterior design

Everything is really nice and new outside the building, like its really well looked after. However the inside isn’t really clean and the tenants don’t look after it. Also car park is really poor , its only available for private tenants so its difficult to find spots. Same with the concierge isn’t for our use either.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The outisde area of the apartment is realy pleasent to look at, and chill in with mates and guests.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking situation.

Nice courtyard with great design

Review Date Jul 2019

Quite spacious inside and the lagoon in middle is really nice with running water in the courtyard. A garden nearby which is closed off and is well maintained. The concierge and the car park are only available for private tenants. Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s nearby and fast food restaurants. Santander bike stations nearby are also really useful

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s quiet and and not like standard council estate blocks. There are a few youngsters that like to loiter in the area from time to time however.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I knew more about the area as there are more local shopping centres

City Quarter – convenient, well maintained

Verified Resident
Verified Resident
Review Date May 2020

Friendly and efficient property management. Simple, modern design, but similar design can be confusing for deliveries or visiting friends. Good landscaping and lots of trees, with green areas accessible downstairs. Location and convenience are definitely a huge plus.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very convenient – loads of restaurants, supermarkets, even a cinema. Close to the tube.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

A minor issue – but sounds and smells (e.g. people talking or smoking) drift up easily from the ground floor.

What is the best feature of your home:

Nice view, lots of privacy, good location, modern finishing
