Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Castlefields is a lovely area of Barton Seagrave to live in, it’s pretty quiet but lots of nice places to travel within 5-10 minutes in a car. There’s a few bars in the local area and a few pub vibe restaurants.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known we could make alterations to the house during the design phase. We didn’t have the opportunity to choose wall tiles, fitting etc.
What is the best feature of your home:
I wouldn’t say there’s anything standout to comment about to be honest - apart from the location.

Unfortunately not shops build on this estate, it is missing here and should be part of any development. We have two parking spaces and bins collected every Wednesday. The roads are missing crossing or bumpers . Children going to nursery/school and cars driving very fast. There is no sign of the speed anywhere.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
We had to sigh Green belt contract along with the purchasing of the house however green belt do not do much around the area. There are trees which need to be replaced and weeds growing through the slabs , they rather using lawn mover then weed killer which is weird to cut the pavements .
What is the best feature of your home:
I love the look of the house. It has a lovely porch and lots of characters inside the house with high skirting boards and high ceilings on the ground floor.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Quiet road, parking generally ok, but could be better for some properties - 2 space parking is really just one where a garage is included. Bin collection good, council tax is high. Estate management company is a complete rip off and would put us off buying a new build again.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
In hindsight we wouldn't have bought on a development with a management company forcing us to pay ridiculous amounts for little maintenance work. We would have been stricter with snagging, and firmer with small details. I'd also say to be prepared to rip out the badly planned kitchen.
What is the best feature of your home:
Open kitchen diner that is south facing and has patio doors into the garden.

It’s a nice residential area and great access to wicksteed park which is ideal for walking the dog..

While it’s great to have solar panels on the house, I have no way to use them as I don’t have any information about them
What is the best feature of your home:

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location of the estate is perfectly to commute locally or into London. Parking on the estate is generally ok, but in the areas of the estate where the properties are not as large, parking is lacking. Their has been some crime on the estate but the installation of camera doorbells and property CCTV has stemmed this.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Be fussy - you’ve paid a lot of money for the property, make sure you don’t ignore anything. Our drive had a dip in it that we ignored which was a big mistake. We have since had to get the whole drive replaced at a cost of over £9k because the builder had failed to put enough hardcore underneath the tarmac.
What is the best feature of your home:
The property classic look is still my favourite feature!
