Living in my local area offers a blend of convenience and vibrant community life. The presence of a large Asda supermarket and a 24-hour convenience store ensures that daily essentials and groceries are readily available, making shopping for necessities quite easy and convenient. Additionally, the area boasts a selection of restaurants that offer a variety of delicious meals, catering to different tastes and preferences, which enhances the dining out experience.The proximity to the university campus is a significant advantage for students and academic staff, providing easy access to educational resources and facilities. The library across the street is a valuable resource for residents, offering a quiet place for study and a wide range of literature and materials. The nearby football field adds a recreational option, encouraging outdoor activities and community engagement.

Before moving into this development, I wish I had known about the incredible sense of community and the various initiatives that the building management undertakes to enhance resident experiences. While a typical viewing might give you an idea about the physical aspects of the apartment, such as its design, facilities, and cleanliness, it's the intangible qualities that truly make living here special.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature of my home is its large, south-facing windows that not only flood the living space with natural light throughout the day but also offer a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. This architectural choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the interior but also significantly contributes to a positive, uplifting atmosphere within the home. The abundance of sunlight not only saves on lighting during the day but also has a profound effect on well-being, making the space feel more open, airy, and welcoming.

Neighbourhood is generally nice, there is a corner shop directly across which is very accessible. There are a handful of restaurants on Oxford Road near the uni area, however the journey into city centre is quite easy if you are looking for more options. There are multiple bus stops on the main road, and the walk/ car journey is also fairly short.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I did not realise there is someone working at reception 24/7; this is quite helpful as I work night shifts occasionally, although I rarely require their help it is nice to know they are there if needed. It has also happened once or twice where people who weren’t residents tried entering the building at night time, but fortunately the reception staff were there to stop them.

Lovely and welcoming entrance area, always clean and smells nice with good music playing too

Living on my street offers a fairly balanced mix of convenience and community. There’s a good range of local shops, independent cafes, and restaurants within walking distance, offering a variety of cuisines and price points. Bars are lively but not overwhelming, and open green spaces like the nearby park provide a welcome escape. Transport links are generally reliable with bus stops and a train station nearby, though peak-time overcrowding can be an issue. Parking can be tight, especially in the evenings, and while bin collections are usually punctual, occasional missed pickups do happen. Anti-social behaviour is rare, though weekend noise from passing traffic or late-night pedestrians can be noticeable. Overall, it’s a vibrant and fairly convenient place to live.

The window in my room cannot open which makes my room really hot during summer time

My area is very quiet and cozy, with a friendly neighborhood vibe. There’s a convenience store just around the corner, which makes shopping for daily essentials easy. There’s also a great Northeastern Chinese restaurant nearby with authentic flavors and good value. Rubbish is well-managed with regular collections, and the streets are clean. It’s peaceful with little to no noise or anti-social behavior, making it a really comfortable and pleasant place to live.

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is that the ventilation inside the flat isn’t ideal. It can feel a bit stuffy at times, especially when the windows are closed. I’d recommend future residents to check air circulation carefully during viewings.

The best feature of my home is the spacious layout, which provides a comfortable living environment. The natural light that floods the rooms makes the space feel bright and welcoming. It’s perfect for relaxing and spending time with family or friends.

Nice and well recommend property. I have enjoyed the garden and the ground floor apace with some snakes.
