We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Shocking aftercare they really do not care once they have sold the property, 7 months in and we have leaks, badly fitting windows, uneven walls , abd customer services just will not act , 5 no shows so far without phone calls saying not turning up, disgraceful.

If I could give a,zero I happily would, customer service once soldis a disgrace, we have a list of 3 sides of paper of snags and some problems including sinking driveway, leaks, walls not straight, gaps in patio doors and builders rubble in waterlogged garden. 5 missed appts and counting with a single calls to tells us.

The development itself is a great estate with a good mix of different housing with good kerb appeal. The houses are built to a decent standard but there are inevitable snags. Herein lies the problem, snags themselves are not necessarily a major issue however Harron homes have consistently been slow to remedy them. We still have outstanding snags from day 1 when we made our initial “snag walk” with the sales team over 1 year later.

I am conflicted on the 'design' score, above, as it includes both design and build quality. The design our Edlingham is absolutely fantastic. We love our home and cannot really think how we would improve it, for us. It is perfect. However, the build quality and post-completion care by Harron is absolutely dreadful. Our build was rushed and we had over 130 snags on completions. Thankfully, we engaged a surveyor to ensure all snags were addressed. Some snags are extremely serious; for example, the ground level is up to the DPC ( damp proof course) around the front of the home, exposing us to a risk of damp. Harron repaired some snags within the first three months of us completing, but they have not done anything since and we have over 90 snags outstanding over 1 year after moving in. Harron ignored us for 6 months. When we updated our surveyor report and threatened to register a claim with NHBC, they made contact immediately and sent a senior manager around. He went through our report and accepted all but a few of the snags in the report and promised we would 'start to receive phone calls'. Unsurprisingly, we have heard nothing since; that was October and it is now January and we are about to write a final time to request action before with progress things with NHBC. So, beautiful homes, on a beautiful development in a beautiful city.....but hope for the best and expect to be in for the long haul with Harron.

Delightful house to live in (4 bed detached). So pleased we decided to buy it. Quite a lot of snags but nothing unusual for a new build. Got a great relationship with the builders who after a bit of chasing are working their way through fixing the snags. We looked at lots of new builds and nothing was as impressive in terms of design layout and space as this house. If buying off plan you have to take all the key dates with a inch of salt and accept that things may be significantly delayed particularly during a pandemic. You need to be prepared to put in quite a lot of input yourself-lots of phone calls and emails to keep things moving forward. From reserving the plot to moving in took just over nine months. But so worth it.
