Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is based within the popular area of Wymondham which is nice, with the town centre being within walking distance. There are plenty of options in terms of supermarkets, places to eat out, takeaways, etc. depending on each persons preferences. The development itself is quite quiet with the occasional anti social behaviour like all areas. The parking down my street isn’t too bad most people have sufficient space on a driveway to park but I know it may be limited elsewhere on the development. It can sometimes be an issue if you have multiple guests as most houses do not accommodate for more than one car outside. Traffic noise can vary as the development is quite close to the A11 so will likely depend on where on the estate you are situated.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Although it’s not necessarily an issue, it would have been handy to know how close to the A11 road we would be and the noise during various times of the day. I would have also liked to have spent more time on our options as we know people who asked about things and got offered alternatives that were not presented to us.

What is the best feature of your home:

The layout of the property is very good for entertaining guests given the open kitchen dining area and the usage of a glass door to the living room. The location is also great given the town is within walking distance.

Birch Gate has a lovely feeling driving into the estate, nice wide roads with plenty of off road parking for the residents.

Check on the building process frequently and hold the developers to account quickly.

What is the best feature of your home:

It’s a nice size property with a good size garden.
