Very attentively, always dealt with speed and minimal fuss.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise from the high street but it's to expected

Supportive management and peaceful living at Berkshire House

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Maidenhead offers a great mix of convenience and calm. There are plenty of local shops, cafes, and green spaces within walking distance. Transport links are reliable, with easy access to trains and buses. The street is quiet, parking is manageable, and bin collections are regular. No issues with noise or anti-social behaviour—overall, a pleasant area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Oxana and Lukas have been consistently responsive and helpful. Any issues raised are dealt with quickly and professionally, making residents feel genuinely supported.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I’d known before moving in is how well-insulated the building is. Even during colder months, the flat stays comfortably warm without needing constant heating.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location meets my day to day needs, very convenient for essential shops and train station for travel to London. Great for local walks and visiting surrounding areas such as Marlow, Windsor, Reading,Oxford, and Taplow. It is possible to live here comfortably without needing a car. There can be some noise at night at the weekends but this had reduced over the years since the closure of local night clubs in town.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team are very friendly and quick to respond to any issues. Oxana and Lukas work extremely hard to high standards. This really sets Berkshire House apart from anywhere else I have rented as offers peace of mind.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

My flat faces the high street and this side of the building gets extremely hot in summer. It is helpful though that I can retreat to the 14th floor communal space as it is much cooler up there.

It has modern flats, very warm in the winter but very hot in the summer

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We live in a flat that is right in front of the bus stop and in a very central area, with a lot of pubs and restaurants around. This means that, especially on weekends, we have a lot of noise after midnight. Drunk people in the streets screaming, sometimes we can hear them even with the windows closed, so it is kind of upsetting in the summer, because we cannot close the windows, otherwise the house gets too hot. Other than that, we have everything around, pharmacies, a "mini-mall", a supermarket, a train station, parks, it is really good to leave her.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They always had a solution, and they were fast in helping with everything we needed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Bad thing: The noise of drunk people in the streets at night, for the flats facing the central street. Good thing: the maintenance service is included; we just have to schedule an appointment, and their service provider will come to help.

Manager response

Thank you, Mariana, for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you’ve found the team so responsive and proactive, and that the fully furnished apartment has made life easier. We appreciate your feedback on summer heat and street noise, and it’s great to know that overall you’ve found the location and services convenient.

Berkshire House -Convenient, Spacious, Well Maintained, with an efficient Building Manager

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Berkshire House is slap bang in the middle of the High street, so easy and close access to all the shops you need and to many restaurants and takeaway places is right on your doorstep, in fact Greggs is literally downstairs! There is a Bus Stop right outside the front of the building and the train station is an 8 minute (flat) walk away. One downside to the location is the noise and anti-social behaviour generated from the pubs that are literally across and down the road. Weekends especially are very noisy, and the live bands at the Maidens Head on Saturday's mean you need to close all windows to hear your television, if you are facing the Windsor side. However, if you are on the Windsor side on a higher floor, there are great views to be had from the building.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and efficiently with all raised physical issues being dealt with in a very professional and timely manner.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Try to get an apartment on the 'dark side', which is facing Windsor and London, as the heat in the summer on the other side is uncompromising, with the floor to ceiling windows facing South/South West.

Manager response

Thank you, Shaun, for such a detailed and thoughtful review. It’s wonderful to hear you’ve enjoyed living at Berkshire House for so many years and that Oxana and Lukas have made such a positive difference to your experience. We do apologise for the ongoing billing issues you’ve noted and will ensure this is followed up with the accounts team.
