Really great location. Right in central London with good transport links— nothing is ever too far away. Great restaurants and shops around too! Very peaceful area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Generally it’s been a swift response. Ernest is amazing and always on top of matters.

Nothing really. It’s met my expectations in every respect.

The building is 5 minutes away from the brand new and vibrant Coal Drops Yard which is a major point. Transportation wise : being in the close vicinity of Kings Cross and St Pancras makes a huge difference.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Excellent : quick and taking account every needs we had.

Living in my local area offers a balanced mix of advantages and challenges. One of the strongest aspects is the variety and quality of amenities. The neighbourhood has a good range of local shops, from small convenience stores to well-established supermarkets, making daily needs easy to meet. There are also several restaurants and cafés offering diverse cuisine, along with a selection of bars that provide a pleasant atmosphere for socializing. In addition, the area benefits from well-maintained parks and open spaces, which are ideal for relaxation, exercise, and community activities. Transport links are generally convenient. Bus services run frequently, and the nearest metro station is within walking distance, making commuting straightforward. However, during peak hours. Road traffic is usually manageable, though congestion can build up during rush hour. Life on my street is relatively peaceful. Bin collections are regular and handled efficiently. Anti-social behaviour is never seen. While there is not traffic noise during busy parts of the day, it is not disruptive and tends to quiet down in the evenings as well. Overall, the area provides a comfortable and practical living environment with a generally positive community atmosphere.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has generally been responsive and helpful whenever I have raised an issue. For example, on the day I moved in, I discovered that the previous tenants had changed the Wi-Fi password, so the code provided by the building management was no longer valid. I discussed this problem with Marija, and she responded immediately. She came the very next morning to address the issue on-site and resolved it efficiently. Overall, their willingness to assist and their quick follow-up have been very reassuring.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how supportive and approachable the building staff truly are. This is not something you fully understand during a typical viewing. The concierge team and management are always ready to help, and their friendliness creates a very welcoming environment. Knowing this earlier would have made the moving process feel even more reassuring. I would tell any new neighbour that they can rely on the team here—no question is ever too small, and support is always just a moment away.

The location is incredible. Close to amazing amenities of coal drops yard and connected via Kings Cross to anywhere across London, going North or over to France.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve only had a couple of minor issues in the flat but they were sorted within minutes of letting them know.

There’s not really been anything. If you have any questions you can ask the team and they are super helpful.

Living at Author has been a really enjoyable experience. The area has a great mix of convenience and charm plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops all within walking distance. Transport links are excellent, making it easy to get anywhere in London quickly. The neighbourhood feels safe and welcoming, and there’s a good sense of community among residents. Parking and bin collections are reliable, and while there’s a bit of city noise at times, it’s nothing out of the ordinary for such a central location.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

whenever an issue has come up. Any maintenance requests or questions are handled quickly and professionally. Kosmin and Maria are approachable, easy to contact, and genuinely care about making sure things get sorted as soon as possible. Their communication is clear and consistent, and they always follow up to ensure everything has been resolved properly. It’s rare to find such attentive and reliable management in London, and their support really enhances the experience of living here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known just how responsive and caring the management team would be it would’ve made the decision to move in even easier. It’s also worth knowing how convenient the location is, with excellent transport links, great local restaurants, and shops all close by. The building is very quiet inside despite being in a lively area, and there’s a strong sense of community among residents. Overall, I’d tell anyone considering Author that it truly stands out because of its people and the quality of life it offers.
