Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We came for a short stay. King’s Cross works well when you’re short on time. Trains, Tube and food options are all close, which matters when you’re working late. It’s not a quiet neighbourhood, but it’s practical.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very quickly! Its really suprising how quick the concierge team replies to any needs, shoutout to Afrah! She made my stay so wonderful and something to remember! And Sergey which is quick to put a smile on your face :)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You don’t have to engage much — it works even if you keep to yourself.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

As someone who has recently moved to London for work, King’s Cross has been an ideal area to settle into. There’s a great mix of shops, cafés, restaurants and bars nearby, so everything you need day to day is within easy walking distance. Open spaces around Granary Square and along the canal are perfect for unwinding after work. Transport links are a huge plus — having so many Tube lines and trains nearby has made commuting and exploring London very easy. The street feels safe and well looked after, with regular bin collections and very little anti-social behaviour. It can get busy at peak times, but that’s expected in such a central location.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they have, prompt responses and available at anytime

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn’t realise how much the communal areas and resident events would help with settling into London. They make it much easier to meet people and feel part of a community, which is a big bonus when moving to the city for the first time.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is unbeatable. You have Coal Drops Yard right on your doorstep with endless options for food and shopping, and a Waitrose nearby for groceries. The transport links at King's Cross and St Pancras are obviously world-class, making it so easy to get anywhere in London or hop on the Eurostar. The canal walks are a lovely bonus for a weekend stroll.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Management has been very responsive. I haven't had many maintenance issues, but the one small query I had was sorted out the same day. The team, especially Mr. X, really seem to care that residents are happy and comfortable.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I loved the outward facing units. If someone requires a quite view, there are ample number of garden facing options as well.

Manager response

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear that life at Author Kings Cross has been such a positive experience for you. It’s wonderful to know the apartment, amenities, and location have all lived up to expectations. Your kind words about our team—especially Cosmin—mean a great deal to us. We’re committed to creating a welcoming, well‑run community, and feedback like yours reminds us why we love what we do. We're thrilled to have you here. Warm regards, Author Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Easy access to shops and restaurants. 390 Bus is less than a block away. More road works are done than initially anticipated.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes Ernest is always friendly and quick to assist when things arise. Anthony, Cosmin, Sergey, Afrah, and Edson are all very attentive and supportive, while providing tenants with excellent customer service.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More road works occur than initially perceived, which sometimes causes bus not to stop near the building.

Manager response

Thank you, Sergio, for such a generous review. We’re thrilled to hear that Author has exceeded your expectations and that the team has made a positive impact on your experience. Your recognition of Ernest, Anthony, Cosmin, Sergey, Afrah, and Edson means a lot to all of us. We’re grateful to have you as part of the community and delighted that you’re enjoying both the building and the neighbourhood. Warm regards, Author Team

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Generally great area for going quickly into the city. Great transportation options due to Kings Cross and nice spaces close by. Commuting is really easy and convenient. Train noise can be annoying depending on orientation of the windows / flat.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Generally quick response, depending on flat and flat owner it might take some time for resolution especially on weekends.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Ask for higher up flat or orientation away from trains, King’s Cross train lines are high frequency.

Manager response

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, S. It’s great to hear that the design, shared spaces, and overall convenience of the location have made a strong impression. We really appreciate your thoughtful notes about train noise and orientation—insights like these are incredibly helpful for future residents. Your kind words about the concierge team, especially Cosmin, mean a lot to us. We’re glad to know our responsiveness has supported you well, and we’re delighted you’d recommend living here. Warm regards, Author Team
