Academy place is a very residential, family friendly area where people are very neighbourly.
The houses are all 3 stories and are very well designed. All rooms are of a good size and the master bedroom has an ensuite. There are also 2 family bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. The downstairs living room is very open and every house has a garden.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very nice area to live in. Osterley Leisure centre is a one minute walk away. You also have a boys secondary school right next to the development and many other schools within walking distance.
Osterley library is also less than a 10 minute away and there is great access to the tube and Isleworth train station.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing in particular but if I to nitpick then one thing would be that if you lose or break the main gate key it costs quite a bit to get a new one.

What is the best feature of your home:

There are 3 bathrooms in total, 2 with showers so this makes reduces hassle for larger families.

I love it. It is very safe and secure with cctv around the premises, and the surroundings are very clean and well maintained. I moved in new almost 15 years ago and remember it being in great condition when i moved in, and had no issues as far as i can remember. I have got two parking spaces which is great. The building maintenance are attentive on issues.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Proximity to london, access to tube and train
I don’t like the local high-street, doesn’t have good shops but that’s about to change soon
i would say Isleworth is very safe

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s been so long now, i moved in 15 years ago. i would say i wish i knew that value of property isn’t going up as much

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

been very good. recently the water not working and they been on it immediately and talking to thames water to fix issue

Management could be improved

It is a gated development, relatively new, better quality than other nearby apartments. It has a nice, open feel, and grounds nice and open with plenty of space. There are friendly neighbours that know each other, community action. However, you really do have to really chase management, like the gates for community needed and took long to fix. Parking spots are ok for me but its for visitors.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Community, close to train stations, supermarkets. close by to my work, children’s schools. wouldn’t say the area is too safe with a few incidence around the area but nothing personally.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Management is not the best, a bit lethargic with to fix issues with communal spaces.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

like i said we raised the complaint about the gates and they took very long to fix it.

Gated community is great.

We moved in, in January and the whole process was quite easy for us, coming straight from Pakistan. Sometimes the water has been cut off for about 2 weeks but they’ve let us known beforehand which is nice of them. Our landlord is lovely, when we first moved in we wanted to change our beds and he quickly done that for us! I do wish we had a better kitchen, an open plan kitchen isn’t great when we’re always cooking with strong spices and those can smell it in the living room.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s gated community and the community as a whole is good. I feel really safe here too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing because we researched a lot and it was great.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I would change the kitchen plan, and make it a closed off kitchen,

Nothing to dislike about living here!

I’ve been living here for a really long time! I’ve had a good feel of the area and estate as aa whole. The neighbours all get a long, there were some noisy neighbours before but they moved out and the whole place is quiet. My house itself is great and I can’t fault it.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like that there’s lots of green space close by, that’s nice to have. All shops are close by and so are transport links! There isn’t anything really to dislike.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The key fobs weren’t working for while and they fixed it for us quite quickly.

Residential and peaceful to live in

Verified Resident

Review Date Sep 2019

My first impressions when I moved in was that the house was really wow! It was really big! The quality overall is really good and I’ve had no problems! Although there is one issue, we are with a private water supply company and we had a couple issues recently and it was hard to get a hold of them to fix things.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like that’s its quiet and residential, the whole area is peaceful.
They have a track and nice green space for kids around here.
Its close to tube and close to my brothers primary school!
The whole area is really convenient to get around.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing! everything was easy and we knew most.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We’ve had no problems so far to raise any issues to them.

Safe area and would recommend for families

My house in academy place is very spacious, when we first moved in it was very big! It’s really good for families. It was modern too and doesn’t look old at all. The house is of really good quality and nothing has broken for us here. The transport links are really good here too, only 20 minutes to get to central London.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like most things in the area, the shops are 7 mins away. However at night there’s not enough lights it’s too dark close to the field and feels dangerous to walk down.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That there are flats in the estate too, not just houses but not too major.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

The kitchen and the garden are quite small, they should be bigger!

A little pricey but i like it

My apartment came with 2 bedrooms and it’s comfortable, around 80m2 for me and my flatmate. It has very good facilities with decent finishing around. My only concern is that the plug in the toilet only works for razor but not my electric toothbrush but i think that’s a UK thing, not used to it in spain!
I also think it’s value is too expensive since we are so far away from central london

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Probably the green area, far and clean. quiet area. i don’t like that there’s litter within the area.
transport is 15 mins away.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

none really i feel like i knew everything before i moved in

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

nothing, it’s comfortable and i have no complaints really

Green area is great for my dog.

For London so far I’d say the development is quite big, the rooms are spacious! London doesn’t have many huge green spaces so I really like that we have that here.
The only thing bad about this development that it’s so close to Heathrow and we can hear the flight take off! For my other tenant he flies out a lot so it’s very convenient.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I have a dog so I really love the park, the green area is lovely and close by!
The tube and bus station is quite close and we have a supermarket near too.
Good cos close to Heathrow airport!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The sound of the planes!

What is the best feature of your home:

I really like that the kitchen and living room and garden area. I love that it’s open!

It could be more spacious, slightly cramped. The finishing are good quality. Safe neighbourhood and dev is nice looking. Parking is great since we have two car spaces for our cars. A lot of repairs need of repairs especially water issues and take ling to reply.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It’s quiet, peaceful green and safe. but dull a little too residential. also planes flying overhead is a hassle right between two station.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The walls between the houses are quite thin, something i had to replace myself

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

the colour of the door, you can’t change it for aesthetic reasons
