Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Saxons is located right in the city centre so you are very close to everything. The best is the location but also the fact that it is still very quiet. I'm not normally disturbed my noise and if I think it is a bit noisy, I can shut the windows and it blocks any outside noise out. Close to the Highcross shopping centre and lots of restaurants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've not had any issues to raise so far but whenever I have had to get in contact with the team, I always get prompt responses.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Getting parcels delivered here is really easy, they get delivered to a secure parcel room that is only accessed by residents.

Good for short term stay but not recommended as a long term home

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very close to town centre and public transport. Close to Main Street so quite noisy at night. It’s impossible to sleep with windows open. Building next to this one always play load music during weekends sometimes till late evening.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Receptionist are very responsive. But there is no onsite maintenance and the reporting system is very complicated. You will need to go through a super long “checklist” to try to fix by yourself following YouTube video. I wouldn’t expect this from a “luxury accommodation” as what it promotes as.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If I knew the room is this cold in winter and the whole room temperature rely on 2 small electric heaters, I won’t move in.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Saxons is unbelievably central, it’s literally a stone’s throw from the highcross and John Lewis and yet remains really quiet, I am never disturbed by noise despite being surrounded by the busiest places in the whole city. Leicester has great food of every cuisine and they’re all 2-10 minutes walking distance, living above the hospital hopper it’s fantastic for healthcare professionals!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve had very few issues since moving in. When I went to ask about repairs, the management staff they were kind enough to talk me through the process and follow it up with sending me the link and steps on how to get things sorted quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure to close the windows when the sun goes down, during summer. We were trying to get every ounce of fresh air in the evening when we moved in, and were initially greeted by a fair few midges, safe to say we’ve worked out a routine now.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

the Saxons is in the perfect location, right next to hughcross shopping center, a busy area around but the soundproof is amazing and cannot hear a thing from inside!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No problems have been raised with us but both management people are easy to get a hold of!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Enquire for parking as you have to be on a waiting list for on site parking although highcross parking is a 1min walk away!

The Saxons, LE1

Jul 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The building offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped gym and yoga classes, making it easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The surrounding neighborhood is also very convenient. There is a larger fitness center nearby for those who want more options, as well as a large shopping mall where you can find everything you need. There is even an indoor climbing gym for sports enthusiasts. In addition, a beautiful park is only a ten-minute walk away, providing a great place to relax, exercise, or enjoy the outdoors. Overall, it is a fantastic location with everything close at hand.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has always been friendly, professional, and responsive. Whenever I raised a question or reported an issue, they responded promptly and handled it efficiently. They kept me informed throughout the process and made sure everything was resolved satisfactorily. Their excellent service has made my living experience much more comfortable and stress-free.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how convenient the location really is. Besides the facilities in the building, there are larger gyms, a shopping mall, an indoor climbing gym, and a lovely park all within walking distance. I would also recommend making full use of the building’s amenities and getting to know the management team, as they are very friendly and helpful whenever you need assistance. Overall, it has been a great place to live.
