Aura in Edgware

This development is really nice, I love living here. It’s family and pet friendly. I like my flat – it is spacious and has many big windows and a lovely balcony. I like the design, it’s modern. All neighbours are friendly and I feel safe here.
Emily, Verified Resident, Aura

We are a big family, our flat is spacious and modern. Everything inside my flat is brand new and everything is good. I chose to live here because it is a good place for families, schools and parks too close by.

The Edge is another popular new development close to Burnt Oak station in Edgware. This scheme offers one, two and three bedroom flats as well as a number of four bedroom houses.

The apartment is nice spacious and modern, the apartment is self contained which is exactly what I was looking for. The kitchen and bathroom were new and gorgeous when I moved in which I expect.
– Verified Resident, The Edge

Great build, new development and is very nice inside, big and spacious, bathroom and kitchen very good condition. My house is three stories and fits my whole family with ease. I chose this property because of how big the house is and it doesn’t disappoint.

Promising but unfinished and disappointing.

There aren’t any local bars or restaurants unless you walk to the main highstreet, however this does make the estate quiet. Good transport links into central. Parking has been a bit of a nightmare where people park where they want despite being told when purchasing the properties no street parking. Also, bins regularly don’t get collected due to naive residents and it’s residents that have taken action against other residents to try and stop extra charges been applied not the management company.

Please review your development:

Overall good location and has the necessity’s and also great views of london. Design wise could have been better: stingy on kitchen cabinets for the couple of apartments that have straight kitchens instead of L shapes – only given 2 30cm wall cabinets with 1200cm open wall space, heating is not efficiently place – all radiators placed centrally and not near windows to trap cold air, could have been more thought out and had underfloor heating put in. Silly to put neighbours window right next to terrace railing – no privacy for either, room layout of windows and sockets poor – why would you put a bed headboard against a window? Building/ property management quite poor, no leeway to those who follow the rules and no enforcement to those who don’t. Response not always given and a lot of times seem to be giving false answers to avoid responsibilities.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Be prepared to be cold in winter unless you are okay with spending lots of money on heating.

What is the best feature of your home:

The amount of nature light from the windows, which ultimately gives the best views surrounding the property, especially the terrace over looking North West London.

Decent first buy but could be better

Locals shops are around 10min walk with Edgware city centre about 30 mins walk. There is a single bus running past the development. A great range of shops and restaurants. I like the quietness of the area and greenery directly surrounding the area

Please review your development:

The design is good. Kitchen could have been better designed. They should have installed a second hard water pipe to kitchen sink or even better installed a water softener as standard due to geographical location. There is a nice little park/open area within the development. However this is ruined by thoughtless dog owners who don’t pick up after. Parking is an issue as everyday visitors park in other peoples bay. Our intercom doesn’t work so it’s a pain. Our gate scrapes the ground when been opened as closed. Management company says it’s because the ground is not level and won’t instruct Fairview to fix it. They oven make claims about damage to gate without any evidence then charge us for repairs. I feel management company is very good

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wasn’t expecting there to be 100 plus points for snagging. Poor quality control and then ask owner to go through each point and turn developers takes months to remedy it

What is the best feature of your home:

Mainly the location. Rooms are decent size as well

The design of the property is quite attractive

The nearest supermarket around the estate takes 15 mins drive, so it’s not a convenient site for daily shopping. Regarding the public transport, the bus stop is within abfew minutes walk but the tube station takes 25mins which is not so desirable especially in winter time.

Please review your development:

The design of the property is quite attractive but the quality of facilities in the bathroom, toilet and also those windows and doors in the house is quite low. The building management is responsive in making reply whereas the property management, there is room for improvement.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

No water tap for garden in the original plan which was later to be installed by the developer but I had already paid someone else to fix one for me.

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen cabinet is the best, especially the material of the cabinet doors, which is easy to clean and care.

Love the area just don’t like being lied to

Love the area just don’t like being lied to about visitor parking before we bought our home the sales team gave you all the things you wanna hear but didn’t live up to any promises. 2-year warranty doesn’t have any grounds literally after 1 year they will fob you off as much as they can.

Please review your development:

Property management company are not as independent as they say and don’t live up to anything continuous problems with the gate. they are badly installed but they don’t fight it fairview. 2 year warranty isn’t a warranty at all soon as its above 1 year they do anything to get of doing anything simple as that.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I i wish had known there was no visitor parking as I would have chosen a different option or a different home.

What is the best feature of your home:

home, in general, is a nice size and generally oh k
