Wood’s Road is a modern, residential development by Surrey-based housebuilder Crest Nicholson. It’s got a central spot in London’s Peckham, close to the Queens Road and Peckham Rye stations for links to the likes of London Bridge and London Victoria. There are one, two and three-bedroom apartments onsite, which offer views of The 02 Arena and Canary Wharf from higher floors. Read more

Spacious flat in superb location

We love living here. Our flat is spacious and bright with a view over leafy south London. The location is excellent, with Cossall Park on our doorstep and all that Peckham has to offer close by. Amazing transport links – we can get to London Bridge in 15 minutes. As some reviewers have mentioned there were a few issues with the build, but Crest has worked to put things right. We have great neighbours and there is a real community feel in the development.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

We lived in Peckham for six years before purchasing our flat. This area is changing rapidly and a lot of things are being improved. We love the close links to central London, the tightly knit community, cafes and restaurants, and amenities for kids.

Great Location and quality build

Verified Resident

The apartments are set back from the main road yet close to many transport links. There is a public park at the rear of the development and a communal garden within the development. Our apartment has been finished to a high standard with quality finishes. We are so please with our first London property.

Generally nice development

Verified Resident

Good development with good finish and end design. Few problems with Crest not being open and honest about things they forgot to do or did wrong at build. They are responsive but don’t always fully investigate the problem or communicate effectively with all residents about a problem that may affect multiple flats

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good transport links and shops. Very convenient location

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish the sign off of the build had been more thorough.

Spacious light flats. Great location. Peckham is great fun! Good restaurants locally, very close to both overground stations. Nice community. Available parking. Next to green space in cossal park. Very enjoyable

Not what we expected

Verified Resident

The design is lovely and looks brilliant. The flats are build in low quality and a lot breaks constantly.

Additionally, the city view is now blocked by another block of flats being built nearby.

I am looking to sell this flat as soon as I can.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area is lovely and surely it is improving through investment.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Materials are low standard, doors, floors and windows are malfunctioning or breaking. Massive issue with air filter and our city view was blocked after a year of buying the flat.

Great place to live

Verified Resident

Woods Road is a great place to live. Our flat is very spacious and extremely bright, and finished to a very high quality build. The development is wonderful, quiet and secluded whilst being in a great location a stone throw from Queens Road Peckham. We’ve made a lot friends among our neighbors and absolutely love it here.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Peckham is great – it feels like there’s a new interesting place opening almost every week and you have access to excellent restaurants, independent grocers, cafes and bars. The only drawback is that Peckham High Street is a busy and noisy road but all the lovely quiet pockets around more than make up for it.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing, if anything everything has exceeded my expectations.

Hi spec flats in Woods Road, Peckham, Zone 2

Verified Resident

The properties all have high spec and feel spacious, homely and safe. The development is managed well and the customer service team are excellent at responding fast to any issues. The design and quality of the flats is better than we could have hoped for. We’ve also made friends for life in some of our neighbours too. There’s a great mums network too. The development is surprisingly quiet despite being in the middle of bustling Peckham and close to main transport links.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Great local amenities including several choices of supermarket, transport links (loads of buses, overground to London Bridge or Victoria in minutes. Ever growing selection of quirky and quality restaurants, bars and cafes continually springing up all over the area. Lots of young families and lots of green spaces and parks to explore including Peckham Rye, Nunhead Cemetery and Hilly Fields.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The variety of transport options are great, as are the local selection of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as culture and things to do with kids. The sense of community is definitely felt which makes London feel like home.

Visit to Woods Road

Recently visited these flats having viewed various flats around the city. I found the staff were incredibly helpful and insightful in the they approached my situation. I felt they really understood my situation and genuinely cared about finding me the best flat for my needs!

The build quality was to a very high standard and the views were ideal for what i was looking for, Unfortunately i have found out my role i being relocated abroad so i am not in a position to buy right now but i would strongly recommend both the staff and this location going forward!

Thanks for your help and best of luck selling the property.

A nice place to live

Verified Resident

I’m really happy with my flat and the quality of the build, although we did experience issues with the completion date which was delayed several times. The only negative is the empty buildings surrounding the development that have been boarded up. It makes the development look unfinished and there is graffiti on the boarding which is unattractive.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Really close to train station with great transport links. Nice restaurants and pubs popping up in the area. Really like the bin and bike storage and green space. Feels secluded and very secure. Street is quite dark which doesn’t feel as safe, could do with more lighting. Also empty buildings surrounding development and huge boarding looks unattractive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I’d known we’d be delayed by so many months before move in so I could have arranged somewhere to live and wouldn’t have had to keep moving stuff around. Also wish I’d known that the empty derelict building outside would still be there a year later as it wasn’t present on the CGIs or images we were shown of the development before purchasing.

Serene location in buzzing Peckham

Verified Resident

Stepping in through the gates always feels like coming back to a sunny holiday home. Very high quality build that has clearly been built around the idea of maximising light. It’s in a great location, smack bang in the middle of Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye and wraps around a quiet park, nicely tucked away from the slightly more vibrant Peckham Rye high street! Huge variety of social haunts and restaurants, 6 minutes into London Bridge and a great community to go with it.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Peckhamplex (£4.99 for any film), proximity to central London, proximity to more rural SE/S London, community spirit, large range of independent retailers and restaurants, small range of big chains!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Being close to a train station, rather than a tube, surprisingly often results in a shorter and far less crowded commute. The flats are amazingly well insulated, so we barely use our heating and there’s water saving features fitted all through the house meaning our water bills are about 1/10th of our previous house!
