Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in this part of Manchester has been a really positive experience overall. The location is extremely convenient, with supermarkets, coffee shops, gyms, and plenty of restaurants and bars all within walking distance. There’s also good access to green spaces like Sackville Gardens and Piccadilly Gardens, which makes a big difference for balance in the city. Transport links are excellent – Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations are close by, and bus and tram connections are reliable. On the downside, being so central does mean there can be some late-night noise from nearby venues, but generally it doesn’t outweigh the benefits of the location.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
All actioned in good time, no issues in my apartment currently!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The central location is fantastic, but it does come with some late-night street noise from surrounding nightlife venues. It’s not constant, but worth being aware of if you’re a very light sleeper.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in the Uhaus area of Manchester has been a mostly positive experience. There are plenty of local shops, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance, making it super convenient. I especially love the variety of Chinese restaurants and bubble tea spots, which makes me feel more at home. The nearby parks and open spaces are perfect for relaxing or taking a stroll. Public transport is also easily accessible – buses, trams, and the train station are just a short walk away, which makes commuting around Manchester super easy. However, sometimes the area can be a little noisy, especially during weekends, with some people out late or passing through. Parking can also be a bit tricky, but it's manageable if you don’t have a car. Overall, I’d say it's a good mix of convenience and quiet, though there are moments of noise in certain spots.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Good – they tend to resolve issues quickly that my other friends have raised.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The room layouts vary slightly, so it’s worth checking them out before you commit. Some rooms have more space than others, especially when it comes to storage. Also, the heating can be a bit tricky to adjust, so make sure to ask how to use the controls properly when you first move in!
Manager response
