Taplow Riverside, by Berkeley Homes, sits in Maidenhead. The development is a scenic riverside scheme located in an countryside setting, close to country villages. As well as this, residents benefit from being less than 2 miles from Crossrail stations at Taplow, Maidenhead and 15 miles west of Heathrow. In addition, Taplow Riverside offers many wide open spaces, with meadows and walks by the River Thames and Jubilee River. The development includes apartments and penthouses in Jubilee Mill and a smaller collection of homes in Dunloe Lodge.
Taplow Riverside, SL6 Reviews
Write a Review Upload PhotosFantastic development and lovely community – highly recommended!
We absolutely love living at Taplow Riverside and we’re extremely pleased with the overall experience we’ve had so far (2 months since hand over of keys). The Berkeley Sales team did a cracking job of tempting us with a very reasonable and pleasant negotiation and we just couldn’t resist following through. The after sales team have also been very efficient and thorough with their snagging list (mostly us being picky) – compared to other developers we believe we’ve been extremely lucky with the minor issues we found and based on this experience we’d highly recommend Berkeley as a builder, given the quality of the property’s finish & execution.

Good:
Very friendly community, incredibly generous, easy going and caring neighbours. Picturesque setting, absolutely gorgeous for walks and bike rides, a stone’s throw away from the Thames and delicious pubs/restaurants close by.
Bad:
Bin collections absolutely ridiculous, super strict council rules.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The waste rules, the council are ridiculously strict and all people talk about is the bins…
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Highly professional after sales building management team, have been very quick to resolve any issues we raised, and we’ve been picky
New home with disappointing experience
My property has been well built
But once purchased Berkeleys had a different approach to me as a customer
But also other people living at riverside
One real problem is that from experience
Berkeley seem to consider that freehold is the same as leasehold
The added problem is that the management company are completly
Controlled by the developer
The out come of this is poor communication and long delays in dealing
With problems on the complex and with property’s
I am not able to speak about other developers only Berkeleys
My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing
A Berkeley home
Is do your home work first
Make sure you have a very good solicitor
Read reviews and knock on people’s doors
Before you buy
It may just be my bad luck
But I have had numerous problems with
Berkeley and the management company over the last 3 years
And any good feeling I had as regards
Living here has gone
Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:
Location is good
And very close to local town
There is a local pub restaurant on the complex
The down side is parking
Noise and anti social behaviour
The local park which is part of the river side
Complex also is used by drug users
The developer Berkeleys have made no attempt to assist the police in trying to resolve a long on going problem
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would have used a better solicitor to purchase my property
Berkeley do have an approach that leasehold and freehold are the same
Which is clearly not the case
Unfortunately for me if I had looked into
The management company more
I would have not purchased my house
Just on there reviews alone
After the purchase of my home
Berkeley completely change there approach to customer service
Over the last 2 years the development
Has become scruffy
And Berkeleys have allowed that to happen
What is the best feature of your home:
Well built house
Attractive design
Good size garden
Living at Taplow Riverside
This development has been well designed with plenty of green spaces and well designed gardens. It is close-to Maidenhead and good rail connectivity to London and elsewhere. Building management good on purchase and well managed by Encore who involve the whole community

Love living here. A well designed development with plenty of green space and access to local walks and amenities. Good quality of design in and outside the properties. The only downside is the number of people who walk and cycle though the private areas of the development There is not enough delineation between private and public space
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I did not expect the amount of people using the private areas of the development as a general thoroughfare
What is the best feature of your home:
High quality interior and access to a lovely gsrden
Great location and place to live
Building management are good and keep the place tidy. Whenever I need something they are quick to respond but not always quick to arrive. The design and finish of the building is excellent and well thought out. The parking setup is questionable but work.

Bin collection can be difficult, but usually ok. The parking it tight and the numbering all over the place.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The bins setup and what you can and can’t do on your balcony.
What is the best feature of your home:
The view and balcony are the best parts of this property. The size is also good value.
First time buyer – great development!
The design is great with a top class finish. Very light and airy and some great aspects such as the underfloor heating and ceiling speakers. Equally as it’s a new build they have ensured that internet and sky have been pre-connected which made the transition of moving very swift (as like most people I can’t live without internet)

Quiet new development on the outskirts of Taplow very close to Maidenhead. Great location by the river with a pleasant walkway. Friendly neighbours and no issues with parking as I have 2 allocated spaces with the property. In view of it being quiet there is limited bars/cafes but if you know the area that is what you would expect but excitingly there is more to come with a new restaurant and cafe opening soon
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I actually can’t think of anything as the service was so thorough and this made moving seamless. I only wish it was a touch closer to the station (but I was aware of the distance before moving)
What is the best feature of your home:
That it is bright and airy and the walk in shower in the main bedroom!
Very happy and feel privileged to live here.
The only aspect I find strange is the flats have carpets and not wood/hard surfaces in the living room. You see in most modern day flats these days. I would have preferred to option to have wood in the living.
The building looks very special when walking up to it and has been designed to a high quality. The building and property management have been very efficient when I experienced issues with the toilet flush not working and the dishwasher leaking. Overall very satisfied.

It would nice to see more restaurants and bars. Perhaps a bit more privacy for Glen Island by finding a way to stop pedestrians walking through. Residence access only maybe?
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I was well informed throughout so there were no surprises
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Yes – I have been dealing with Pamela who has been very efficient.
