We believe the best information about a residential development comes from the people living there. Owners and tenants have a lot of useful information to share with their prospective neighbours, not just on the property itself and its locality, but also on the developer and the building’s management.

Fantastic design in all areas of the development. Lots of green open spaces, attractive and encourage families to use outside spaces all year round. Great location next to woodland areas, great views. Flats slot into the skyline without being an eyesore. It would be nice to retain the view of the woods and access to the woods by not building on fields opposite North Countesswells Road. Great facilities, playpark, shop, areas to walk and exercise.

The original design of the development has won awards but on walking around you have more questions on that one than answers. For example why have they got the hedging going through the middle of many gardens instead of around the boundary? As the months go by and with the more the houses go up you do get the niggling thought of will the area end up over populated? Saying that it is beautiful with woods to our south, east and west and a beach only about 6 miles away. With all new builds the size of rooms can be a little on the smaller side and there are always teething problems and Countesswells is no different. There are issues trying to get some of the snagging done, this can often be easier said than done. I have opted to just pay for the ones that I cannot live with and fingers crossed and hope Stewart Milne gets round to the others eventually but it has been 4 1/2 years now so I won't hold my breath. The general area is kept tidy with the local authority refuse collectors doing a sterling job, if only the same could be said of the factoring company who may have bitten off more than they can chew with even the simplest of requests being an issue.

Design is really nice. Facilities are improving with the shops and new school. Property management is a bit disappointing. New roads are very good. Could do with more green spaces and improving the access path to Hazelhead forest. Wish there were lights in the community park at night.

The development is very busy. The construction never seems to be slowing down. It’s good to see so much new houses getting built and sold very quickly. I like the design of all the houses, same but different! I particularly like mine has red roof and door, other houses of the same building have grey. Bit of mixture really.

Lots of green space. Park is nice. Hoping road links go as planned given the recent development news about CDL. The proportion of owned to association housing seems a bit off. Property management company James's Gibb have had difficulties but we've had little experience or this ourselves.
