Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

15 to 20 minute walk from city center is moderate distance. In case of heavy rain, I can still use Bus which bus stops is just 1 minutes walk. Supermarket on ground level is super convenient. Local area is very quiet but I felt a little bit scared in the beginning. (not so many house or restaurant).

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No big issue. Management respond very swift, normally within a day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Car parking slot is limited. Bed room is a little bit bright due to the light between apartment block.

Modern living with excellent management and good facilities

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The immediate area is fairly limited, with not much right on the doorstep beyond a Sainsbury’s Local which is convenient for basics but not the cheapest. You do need to walk into the city for most shops, restaurants and general amenities. It’s not a long walk, but something to consider if mobility is an issue at times. Transport links are good and getting around is straightforward. Overall it’s practical, but not a location with a strong neighbourhood feel or lots happening immediately outside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Issues have generally been handled professionally, although a couple have taken a bit of time to resolve. That said, communication throughout has been excellent, with clear updates and a responsive team, which makes a big difference and gives confidence that things will be sorted properly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the overall cost of living is higher than it might first appear. Rent is not the cheapest, although the quality of the building and facilities helps justify it. However, utilities can add up quickly, especially with electric heating and metered hot water. It can take a noticeable amount of water running before it gets hot, which at times feels like money literally going down the drain. Parking is an additional cost, and council tax bands for anything other than a one bed are also relatively high. Overall, while the development offers good quality and facilities, you do need to be prepared for the full monthly cost of living here.

Life at Platform: A Mix of Community Spirit and Chaos

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There are some strong positives in the area, but also a few things that make daily life a bit of a challenge. Good: It is close to the city centre and well connected. You can get anywhere quickly, and the riverside route is handy if you enjoy walking. Bad: Parking is difficult. The attitude of some tenants can be quite entitled, and even though the building is pet friendly, many people act rudely towards dog owners and their dogs. That can make shared spaces feel tense at times. The location sits right beside the motorway. The keep clear area for pedestrians is usually ignored, and the crossing at the bottom of the hill is often blocked by cars. Drivers in the area behave in an unsafe and at times hostile way towards pedestrians, splashing people with puddles caused by poor drainage. Walking there can feel unsafe. The riverside walkway has become more like a fast lane for Deliveroo drivers and cyclists. They pass too close to pedestrians and animals, which can provoke reactions and could easily cause accidents. It makes what should be a peaceful riverside walk quite stressful.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Wee Amanda, Skye, Felicia, Duncan, James and Tommy have all been exceptional. Every time I have raised an issue, they have responded quickly and with real care. They go above and beyond for tenants and their work is the reason the building feels as positive as it does. They form a strong team that could shape this development into a proper community if they had the resources and backing to do so. They deserve recognition

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building itself shows signs of having been designed by someone who has never actually lived in Scotland, never mind Glasgow. The electronic keys can be glitchy. The doors are slow, awkward in high winds and sometimes unreliable. The area around the development is also getting busier because of the student accommodation going up nearby. There is a lot of litter behind the building that leads directly to the pedestrian crossings, which adds to the sense of mess in the immediate surroundings. Even with those issues, the internal community inside Platform is strong because of the staff and events. The building has real potential. The people working here make an enormous difference. At the same time, the local infrastructure, the behaviour of some tenants and the conditions around the building all need attention. Addressing those issues would lift the whole experience and support the community that the staff work so hard to maintain.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

- Shops: 2 Lidls 15 minutes away on opposite directions, a Sainsbury's local in the building, and if you take the train 2 stops to Partick you have another Lidl, a Morrison's a big Sainsbury's and an M&S Food. - Restaurants: You're a 10 minute walk away from the city centre and like 20 from the West End so food and drink choices are endless - Transport: It's at a walkable distance from all you need but there's a train station 5 minutes away, a bus stop across from the road and the subway is in the city centre - Problems: In the area, the biggest problem is littering, though that's the case in most of Glasgow unfortunately. It feels fairly safe and there's only ever noise when people are coming back from the Ovo Hydro (But I'm usually one of them so can't complain too much!)

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I'm happy to say they've been ON IT. We had a few issues in our flat when we first arrive and by the end of the first month all of them were fixed! And after that, if there have been any issues we've either had solutions or at least more information.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

- Internet and gym are included with the rent, but energy and council tax are separate - Because management's job is to manage the flats, you'll find no "landlord specials" - Platform is located in an area of Glasgow that's still in development (And that's both good and bad)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location , great access to city Centre West End within 1015 minute walk Bad / no parking parking

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

10/10 Tommy and the team are absolutely fantastic

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Parking situation Unfortunately street parking is only available to take this into consideration for moving here as parking in the building itself is just not affordable for most people which they should do the reconsider over £300 a month. It’s just not feasible for the average person under wage.
