Overall is good but still has a big space to improve

Review Date Jun 2023

Design;
1) On Lea, too close on the front door which is not good
2) I have front garden with side driveway but my neighbor to have front driveway only. Thus, they misunderstand my pavement as public. Which is not good
3) Garden is too close to the tenant house so that our privacy is challenged.
4) House to house space are not enough.

Facilities;
1) only one public garden near the entrance which is no good.
2) didn’t see any other facilities in the department

Building management
1) good as they are on-time on the completion date.
2) any house defects that they will follow up and fix . Even we need to ask & Push over few weeks

Property management
1) Customer service department is doing well as they explained our needs to site Manager.
2) helpful to review our reported defects and make related action for fix it

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

GOOD:
1)Convenice to buy daily stuffs as the location ia close to Town Center or even Wednesbury.
2) short driving distance to Birmingham city (only 25mins drive)
3) set up in a separated area in which the security seems better.

Bad:
1) Lack of big country park nearby
2) number of house density is too high
3) public leisure space in this department is limited.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Good kitchen design on those 3 bedroom from size of Lea or bigger.

What is the best feature of your home:

Sky windows which is the eye drawing design for me to buy this house

Good location and great design

Review Date Jun 2023

Millfields being developed by Countryside with their unique design of sky windows has made it looks great in general. The development is still in progress and I think it might be completed by end of next year. The building management has been following up our outstanding fixing issues, and we hope that those would be resolved soon.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Millfields is located in a very good built up area, where transportation and local shops are in foot steps distance. We can also drive to the nearby retail parks especially IKEA and B&Q where we can get our supplies for the new home. The sky windows design is excellent that makes the dining room looks bright and spacious. However, due to recent strike of the bin collection, we have to bear the situation of recycling bin not being collected for over 2 weeks and more. Also, Google map doesn’t update the postcode and location of Millfields, Amazon’s courier could not reach our address correctly with repeated mis-delivery.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The two main doors of the semi detached house are too close to each other, making the boundary of the two houses too vague to be identified.

What is the best feature of your home:

Three sky windows and large French Doors making the dining room look bright and spacious.

Our plot is in a great location as we have the leap area opposite us so we are not just looking towards another house across the street. There is plenty of space on our driveway and all of our neighbours are warm and welcoming. Our garden has quite a steep slope and may need to be assessed.
Due to the increasing focus on sustainability, it would have been nice to have an ev charge point/solar panels/heat pump installed.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area has great transport links with both junction 7 and junction 9 of the M6, aswell as junction 1 of the M5 in close proximity. There is a good amount of shops/takeaways in the local area. Bin collections have not been ideal as Sandwell council workers have been on strike. Traffic noise has been fine however there has been some anti social behaviour with regards to several drivers visiting the ā€˜private rented homes and driving their cars quickly/loudly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The exact scale of the garden/patio area. We have a severe slope which has made maintaining our garden very difficult and we will need to spend a lot of money on landscaping to correct the issues.

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen is open plan with skylight windows and separate utility. We like the design of the home.

The design is nice with a nice big open space area which will be turned into a mini play area for children. Houses very stylish with a good quality build. Property management had been ok just sometimes mis communicating has led to delays with our snags getting resolved.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Bin collections have been hit and miss due to local strikes. Good transport links to motorways and train stations and a nice open area for residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Exact garden sizes and sizes of the patio and driveway.

What is the best feature of your home:

Kitchen area is spacious with sky lights and good size living room

Lovely development. Houses look fresh and modern and the inclusion of the LEAP area is a massive plus. The public grass areas and roads are kept clean and tidy and are really well maintained. Site team are also available to grab should you need them to quickly take a look at something.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Really close to local train station with excellent links into city centre. We also have plenty of options with regards to local supermarkets and take away options.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would recommend getting all snagging issues completed before doing any surveys.

What is the best feature of your home:

Kitchen is beautiful and is one key reason as to why we took this property.

Great development

Review Date Jun 2023

I think that the house should have garden shed as I am aware that generally most new developments are provided with a garden shed.

In the kitchen there is no space to put a large rubbish bin ( Maybe this could be integrated)

Concerned about the driveway and pedestrian roads (but it seems they are still working on them)

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Bins are currently on strike. Unable to order a bin for household waste and recycling. The house does not come with a garden shed. Generally seems quiet and good location for shopping and schools

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It doesn’t have a garden shed and I am worried about the houses being built at the back of me and how close they are joining gardens ect

What is the best feature of your home:

Large hall way and landing area.
Kitchen integrated appliances

Worth the purchase

Kitchen area is an amazing space with sky view ceiling! Good design of bathrooms with shower and bath facilities. Modern fresh look with generous back garden

Customer service team is extremely reactive and is always on hand to offer guidance

Overall an amazing space

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good location with easy commute via trains , public transport or car to Birmingham City Centre! Lots of shops and fuel stations locally ! Multiple supermarkets choices as well as good local Primary and Secondary Schools
Street is relatively quiet with lots of families around

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Storage is limited and the drive seem smaller than expected

What is the best feature of your home:

The glass ceiling in the kitchen which provides outdoor views

Happy home

Review Date Jun 2023

The design of the development so far looks eye pleasing and matching – no home looks out of place. The actual home we have is designed neutrally and too a good quality.
The images of the advertisement are slightly different, for example the images show a gas hob but they are electric – this is not mentioned or clarified in the description.
The property management has been excellent and helpful.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Good: Close to amenities and motorway. Fresh neutral design.
Bad: Dirt from development work and noise.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That it is electric hob not gas.
Construction dirt is everywhere which means having to clean windows and cars constantly.

What is the best feature of your home:

Fitted appliances and blinds included. Good shape and sized garden.

Great from beginning to end.

The flow and design of the houses are exceptional, the fact that they have replanted trees helps with the environmental impact.
The leap area is great for the children and although it isnt completed with play equipment as yet, the developer has landscaped the area and made it safe so that children can still play on it.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Very close to local amenities, lidl, tesco, hardware store as well as a nursery, primary school and senior school. This is currently an active building site so in the day the noise levels are moderate but the site team are very considerate.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nail pops!!!! Didnt think I would have so many.
In a new build estate / village its best to set up a WhatsApp group to keep up to date with any issues or updates e.g
Bin strikes!
Be mindful its a new build and there will be snags (that do get rectified).

What is the best feature of your home:

Kitchen and garden, due to the size of the kitchens which lead onto the back garden it brings the outside inside.
