Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
I've been living in Manchester Waters at Pomona Strand and overall, it’s been a great experience. The area is modern, quiet, and beautifully situated right by the water, which gives it a calm, relaxing atmosphere that’s hard to find so close to the city centre. The views of the canal and the modern architecture really make it feel like a hidden gem in Manchester. One of the biggest perks is the location. You’re just minutes away from both Manchester city centre and MediaCity, with easy access via the nearby Pomona tram stop. It’s ideal for professionals or anyone who needs to commute regularly. The area is also developing fast, which means it’s only going to get better in terms of amenities and local services. Of course, no place is perfect. At times, it can feel a little isolated since there aren't many shops or cafes immediately on the doorstep yet, and some parts of Pomona still feel under construction or in transition. However, with everything expanding, this is likely to improve in the near future. All in all, Manchester Waters is a peaceful, well-located place to live with huge potential. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, modern home with great access to the rest of the city.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has been very responsive and helpful whenever I’ve raised an issue. Communication is clear and prompt, and they usually resolve problems quickly, whether it's a maintenance request or a general query. It’s reassuring to know there’s a reliable team in place looking after the property.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I’d known before moving in is that the immediate area around Pomona Strand is still developing, so there aren’t many shops or cafes within walking distance yet. It’s not a big issue since city centre and MediaCity are close by, but it would’ve been helpful to know in advance. That said, the area is improving rapidly, and the quiet surroundings have their own charm.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Great location by the canal, nice and quiet except on match days (people flood the road and park on the side and driving up and out or down the road becomes a real pain). Well-connected as there is a tram stop less than 3 minute walk away. No nearby shops unfortunately for when you're in a pinch - options are either Co-op at Clippers Quay or White City, both about 12-15 minute walk away.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Personally rented through Goodwin Fish who I have had a great experience with; prompt responses and always available to take your call in case of any emergencies.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Lots of wildlife around the area due to it being next to a canal; ducks and geese leave a lot of waste on the paved road walking up to the flat, especially in the summer, which makes it a minefield during the summer days. Little bugs e.g. mosquitoes, fruit flies also make their way into the flat and can sometimes get caught up in the curtain rollers.

convenience transport : metro link Nearby retail centre : White City But supper bad management Ridiculous slow response/ action to those residents enquiries Car park gate always damaged that super unsafe Security are nice with good responsibility to the building Bad design in balcony (seriously leeks problem)
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We had a poor experience about seeking help from Management company, was happening in the night time , we couldn’t get into our flat due to the door lock was broken, But No one will work for that after office hours, and who will know when will this unfortunate incident happen , there should be some contingency plans for any incident that might occur during non-office hours .
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Difficult to seek help from X1 Supper ineffective in resolving problems/issues for residents

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
We have White City closely located to us, a 3-4 minute drive away or a 10-15 minute walk, with shops such as Aldi, m&s and Tescos close by. Pomona tram stop is highly convenient but bus routes are not. In terms of available parking spaces, there are NONE if you do not have a parking space with your flat, which in my opinion is so backwards. There are so many residents including myself who do not have a parking spot and therefore cannot securely park cars under the building, and the side of the road has all double yellow lines up it. People are being fined to park outside their own building which is just ridiculous. In terms of traffic and noise, there is no issue for me and it is a very quiet place to live, apart from the few flat parties due to air bnbs within the building.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Only after so many attempts, but now they finally resolved our issue with the water leakage. With any other issues we have had they have been helpful.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I knew there would be such difficulty in finding parking … it’s awful
