Local community is good but traffic is bad. Transport is good . Parking is good size there is quiet location

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would like buy any house from Bellway anymore , I will not recommend anyone to buy any new house from Bellway their aftercare staff is very bad attitude irresponsible people

What is the best feature of your home:

Decent size garden ,house is in good size . Kitchen is right size .

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to motorway and train station, and large supermarkets. Lots of litter and dog mess around however.

The affordable homes that are very close to our house were described to us as shared ownership but this is not the case and we (along with other residents) have witnessed anti social behaviour a number of times from some of the residents of the affordable homes

What is the best feature of your home:

Very large en suite to large master bedroom on top floor of the house

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

My wife and I are very happy with the location. It is a few minutes drive away from the centre of Walkden, which has a very good retail park and mall with a wide range of shops. The ‘loop line’ is a network of walkways that connect the local villages together. They are brilliant and provide a sense of being in the countryside. There’s a couple of local parks that are within 10 minutes walking distance too. The development is 5-10 minutes away from the motorway as well. However, this can be up to 45 minutes in rush hour. The transport links are excellent. The train station is a 10-15 minutes walk away. However the more regular and cheaper V1 and V2 buses have a dedicated bus lane that go to Manchester town centre within 30 minutes. The traffic and train noise are minimal. In theory, the development should (and can be) very quiet. We had some issues with anti social behaviour from children of social housing on the development. However, most of this seems to have settled down now. I have a lot of hope for the coming year but my wife and I will likely move on if we experience another year like this one. That would be a huge shame as there are so many positives to living here.

The loop line is amazing and the V1/2 buses are better than using the train! There’s a cut through on the next development which gets you there to the bus stop in half the time. We wish we had known about the anti social behaviour of some social tenants.

What is the best feature of your home:

The open plan downstairs- a lounge, with doors that open into the kitchen diner. We love it!
