Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Gateway Plaza in Barnsley is a fantastic location with plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment nearby. Public transport links are excellent, making travel easy. The area feels safe, and parking is generally available. There are open spaces to relax, and the community is friendly. Bin collections are reliable, and noise levels are manageable. Overall, it’s a convenient and enjoyable place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has been generally responsive. Maintenance requests are usually handled within a reasonable time, and the staff is approachable when issues arise. However, there have been occasional delays in addressing some concerns, such as communal area cleaning or minor repairs. Overall, they do a decent job, but there is room for improvement in response times.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known more about the parking situation, as spaces can sometimes be limited or expensive. Also, while the building is well-maintained, noise from neighboring flats or communal areas can sometimes be an issue. It’s a great place to live, but being aware of these small inconveniences beforehand would have been helpful.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I like that there is a convenience shop downstairs open until 10on everyday, and a couple of bars and restaurants. Only a 7 minute walk to the bus and train interchange which is great, private car park is good too but it is £50 per month per space. There is little to no traffic noise however there can be occasional noise from the police station next door.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Ineffective, polite but ultimately useless as didn’t fix majority of issues. Took ages to fix the few that they did fix and we never got any compensation.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Property is lovely but management are terrible and parcels will get stolen

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We are lucky to have lots of bars and shops around us however it isn’t extremely secure, it’s very dark entering the plaza at quarter 3, people can easily get into the apartments through the car park. Not much disabled friendly ways into the town

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Okay hard to get ahold of but the building manager is new so I’m unsure how this one is

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The lesser security in place and that the lift often breaks for long periods being in a wheelchair I am stuck in the apartment for weeks

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It’s a good experience in living closer to the city centre where I can access all kinds of transportation and services. Shops and restaurants very closely available. I am very happy to live here.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Everything solved within a small period of time. Provides a better quality service at any time.

When l got the property it wasn’t cleaned and not well maintained. I had to raise again to the management to get everything sorted. I wish everything neat and. Clean once l moved to here.
