Poorly managed gym facilities

R (Tenant)

Mar 2024

Showers broken for months in gym Soap never filled up No towels Poor cleaning Gym manager doesn’t care and is never reprimanded by the concierge - who are actually useful and very nice! For 2/3 grand a month, these are the basics that should be available , whenever without down time due to maintenance - other gyms and spa can do it, why can’t DSQ? If something breaks, they should have someone to call immediately, not wait 5 weeks etc, similar to the elevators that are always broken taking months to fix and then break again - not ideal when it’s 64 floors

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The facilities are extremely poorly ran - gym, sauna, pool - nothing is ever in working order, bas communications, bad gym management who never reply to emails from tenants and bad communications.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish I’d have know the main facilities I moved in for would never be in full use or not broken

What is the best feature of your home:

View Apart from that, the elevators need fixing and so does the dog waste all around the development

Shambles

Jack (Tenant)

Nov 2023

Fantastic location and most importantly, fantastic potential. It’s a shame that it’s an absolute shambles. Staff are rude, the bin chutes are constantly broken which leads to piles of rubbish in the landing, lifts broke for over 12 hours meaning people had to climb up to nearly 40 floors, parking is expensive and horrifically tight. The app leads to arguments between neighbours which create a toxic environment. This would all be ok if it wasn’t for the fact it’s around £2000 a month to rent which is an absolute disgrace.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Fantastic location as you’re in the middle of a thriving city. Parking is horrific though as it’s about a 6 month wait to get a parking space in the building for a hefty £200 a month. Wifi is a complete lie, I was told it’s free and then once you get into your apartment you find out it’s just about strong enough to send an email. You then have to pay £20 a month for it. I’d have no problem paying that but it feels like I’ve been lied to.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How much of a shambles it is. So much potential. Would’ve liked to know how difficult it is to get a space for my car too.

What is the best feature of your home:

Facilities are very good. Gym, pool, shops, cafe/bar

Overall would recommend. Does have the wow factor and feels very homely. Good views, amazing facilities. Parking has a big waiting list so isn’t very available and is quite expensive. Very convenient shop downstairs which is vegan friendly. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Luxury feel.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good aspects : amazing location, impressive decor and style, very good with security, lovely amenities. Feel like you live in a 5* hotel. Bad aspects: difficult to move into. They’ve lost a £60 package of mine within 3 weeks of living here.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

How difficult it was to move in. That parking isn’t available.

What is the best feature of your home:

The spa, pool and gym. I also love the views and the wow factor in general as you walk in.

A variety of facilities provided. Spectacular and modern design of the apartments, overlooking the nearby areas and a nice view of the city. Good management of the place, and the people working there are really helpful! Most importantly, it's quite and homey.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location, there're restaurants and shops nearby.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is a gym! and a roof garden. The rest met my expectations.

What is the best feature of your home:

The design and layout. Though the furniture seems to be not long-lasting.

Just close to the center where you can find everything . Fancy restaurants , cinemas and even the arndale mall. No close by schools No parkings

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No always had to go through property management who are almost unresponsive
