Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very Bad experience with Crest Nicholson, I brought their show home in May 24 and within few months I had to report issue for wall cracks and rendering issues in March 25, It took them 9 month to respond on Dec 25 stating that we will not fix this issue and closed my complaint. I am very disappointed with their customer service and very poor communication without any explanation they closed my complaint and not fixed my rendering wall issue. I would not recommend anyone to buy new house from them in future. Very frustrating and disappointing experience with Crest Nicolson.

Very bad build and cracks developing in all the walls outside and inside

Not a good feature at all very bad build quality and regrettable to buying from Crest Nicholson

Greedy developers who just wants to make a profit, no consideration around the people they build around or even the safety of others !!! Avoid at all costs

They just don’t care about anyone but anyone except them or making money

What is the best feature of your home:

Nothing , I hate everything about it. Greedy Greedy developers who just want to make a profit and employees that want to earn a bonus from other people’s misery

The Houlton development as a whole is exciting and a superb place to be living. We have shops and a good range of amenities within 5 minutes and more on the way, including a Coop supermarket and two new schools. Lots of green space, wildlife trails and picturesque views make this a lovely place to live.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Site plans changed without consultation. The plumbers used by Crest didn't complete a single job correctly, leading to 3 flooding issues and counting. Our driveway would be used as contractor parking, Crest have no interest in looking after their new build customers - every issue is a hassle and not once have they apologiesed or expressed any concern. We would not have purchased if we knew the exoerience would be this bad.

What is the best feature of your home:

Design, layout, kerb appeal are all good. The spaces we have created are superb and all credit goes to the designer and architect - our issues are in the poor execution,

There is only one restaurant and no shops. The first shop will open sept 2021. It feels like a long wait. Open spaces are wonderful. There should be more information about transport links. I have no idea about them. My street is nice but a recent dispute over access to a pathway. A neighbour has taken it upon himself to block an access and is in dispute with Crest Nicholson. Cars are allowed to go too fast through Houlton including down the road I live off.

Would have enjoyed knowing about the open spaces to look forward to.

I would make the master bedroom a bigger size and instal an outside electrical point.

Poor local shops / only one reataurant Good area to live, friendly / parking / neighbours friendly

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

As mentioned above within previous comment. Very poor

I better understanding of the defect period and a clearer insight to what the service charge covers
