Wonderful place for families in London

The design of North Greenwich rivals the best of London design and it has a Scandinavian feel to it, think Copenhagen 🙂 Literarily, as you step out of the North Greenwich tube station you’ll start to see the art installations, on the riverside but also on the mirroring walk to the river. In the words of one of our guests who came to visit us: ‘ it looks like this place is a competition in design! Each building or facility gets nicer and nicer to look at, as you walk!’ Soon the Design District will be built, and with Ravensbourne University of Design right opposite it, North Greenwich will become THE focus place for designers in London!
The facilities are stunning, the Tide bridge incredibly beautiful to walk on, the riverside has creative benches to rest and relax and there are even meditation spots along beautiful peaceful areas at the tap of button. The building management that manages our development is Rendall&Rittner and so far we are happy with them. They provide high quality customer service through their polite and helpful staff members, insights and reminders through their community newsletters, a parcel collection service, and their fees are reasonable. R&R also help us to connect to property management teams should any problems arise. We have appreciated their support in times of need, such as lift breaking down or car park door being blown away by the wind! Thank you.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Really awesome location in London! Very close to the Thames river, and surrounded by natural beauty such as parks and the gorgeous Nature Reserve. Fabulous shops and restaurants practically on our doorstep or maximum 20 minutes walk away. Safe Bicycle lanes, but nowhere near enough car parking spaces. Super crowded schools and nurseries, we need more of those! Also a new GP practice would be highly beneficial, as well as a better quality gym within the development, accessible to all residents.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known about the fact that we don’t have access to a fob key to automatically open the doors to the car park…it’s inconvenient to get our bicycles out thorough the very heavy doors of our building. But hey, at least they are secure!

What is the best feature of your home:

I think the best feature is noise and heat insulation! This couldn’t be any better! We love the bricklaying, and the modern ventilation system is so innovative! Everything is high quality, from the floors to the stain resistant carpets to the door handles and shower facilities and all the taps! We also love the wooden finishes in the bathrooms, looks so cosy! Very well spaced throughout, and lovely balcony.

A lovely area to live in

The buildings itself are good designed, the insides of the flats are nicely finished!

If I can change something about it, I will suggest tiles on the wall of the kitchen as there is no way to keep the wall clean.

The concierge is a great service, amazing for deliveries! However, as we pay quite a lot of service charge it is disappointing the there is only every quarter a window cleaner, which is needed more often!

It is good that the management act when something is happening! For example with the bike thefts!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area itself is amazing, walking distance to o2 and station, as well enough busses are going! On the other side there are plenty of shops as well, which is perfect! The only thing missing for me at the moment in the village (personal opinion) is a fresh bakery and the holland and barrett. Restaurants on North Greenwhich side would be lovely, however it is easy to go to greenwhich/cutty shark!
The sand factory is not my favorite as it gives quite a lot of dust which is not ideal when windows are open!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

More information about parking areas! As we did not had a car when buying we did not ask for it! However, now we found out that it is better to own one as there is very limited space!

What is the best feature of your home:

The kitchen is really amazing as its fully open, so perfect to prepare food and interact with others!

The design of all buildings around looks all great and gives a lovely village feeling.
The facilities which is provided are perfect, concierge which is able to take care of packages, cleaning service of the building and the management team is nice and friendly and always willing to help with any questions.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The North Greenwich area is amazing, there are many shops as well as around o2 and Bugsby way! Lovely restaurant around the o2 as well as Greenwich itself which is an easy commute! Transport is perfect, many busses are going, the tube station as well as uberboat.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Just a tip for new coming neighbors, ask for the exact type of paint, lights etc in case you would like to replace or repaint something!

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

If there is one thing I would change to the flat it will be the biking area.
I will replace the racks with a different type which should make it easier!

Very happy with my property but a few rooms for improvement

Given this was built in September 2019 I think the build should be more updated, for example the radiators should be more modern like the tall ones that don’t take up too much room.
The quality of materials used I don’t think are the best, things easily dent/mark.
I don’t like how the walls are all plasterboard and not brick.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I don’t like how we have buildings next door which is part rent part buy. During lockdown there have been flats that are clearly just rented out for party’s.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would have worked out if my balcony would have sunlight or not, it does make me sad I can’t sunbathe on the balcony.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

I don’t think would personally change anything, I have lived here over a year now and all in all I am pleased.
