Furthermore, the Harbourside is full of great places to see and go, offering plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and visitor attractions. Love the building and secure car park – it feels modern, spacious, light and airy and most of all safe, which has been very important to me. The bin shed again is great, feels safe (others developments I’ve lived in haven’t been great for well lit, safe access bin sheds) and I love the fact that the intercom shows you who is ringing. I also like the fact that there are multiple layers of security into the building.
One problem is the delivery of packages to the building and the lack of security around this, but this largely stems from people letting others into the building who have no right to be there.

The location and proximity to work and the town centre is brilliant for the rent. Only criticisms would be the noise of an evening coming from Millennium Promenade and sometimes the traffic, but this is only of concern when it’s a hot evening for example and the windows are open (as when they are closed they are amazing at keeping noise out).

Stunning flat with brilliant views
Living in the flat is amazing. Up to date facilities making living easy. Great size rooms with built in wardrobes for the master! Very light and airy. Easy to clean and having dedicated bins means that you don’t need to worry about bin day! Great location as well

Brilliant location! Stunning views. Bad points are residents are limited to one parking space which can be a pain

Our first home in UK- Canons Gate
Our apartment has strong insulation that no traffic noise bothers us and not even chilling temperature during extreme weather. All the flats are well ventilated with enough sunlight approaching from all windows. So, design allows us to use minimum electrical energy. We feel very safe and secure in our house coz of security system under the building management.

Canons gate is most conveniently located property. Everything you need to live in the city is accessible within a range of one mile be it best school for my kids, shopping centers, department stores like asda, lidl, Tesco. Being in the center of the city we are well connected with the transport system and thats too within foot approach. The best advantage is harbour, it’s so beautiful to live near harbour at no extra cost

We moved in during covid time and only through virtual viewing. But nothing as such that we had known before moving in.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
There are certain problems that happened with us, but everytime they were sorted efficiently with smiles.
Great property with fantastic location
The property is a state of the art building with attractive facilities. Each time I have a complaint or need repairs, the facility managers are very helpful and prompt.
I also love the proactiveness to ensure all facilities are in top working condition.

Living in Canonsgate has been convenient for me, it’s quite central to all the main centres of attraction in Bristol.

Facilities is a phone call away and response is quick

Property in good location
The general design is good. Noise insulation is relatively good. Property management is acceptable. Maintenance work filed in will be followed up. There are regular maintenance work scheduled, e.g. check on air ventilation. One major draw back is there is only one lift available for the whole property (i.e. over 100 flats). There is no back up when the lift is out of service. The lift was out of service for 19 days in August 2022, very inconvenient.

Location is great, walking distance to city centre and next to harbourside. It locates next to a main road, so often can hear ambulances at night.

The availability of only one lift for all tenants is a major concern for me. As a family, we often have to buy lots of grocery at one time, having to carry all those grocery to the fifth floor is a major issue.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The staff in the Bristol office attended to the issues that I reported promptly.
(1) Malfunction of fob to enter car park, arranged a replacement for me to pick up from office
(2) Parking space situated right under an open area, the problem of bird droppings was very severe, the office managed to swap a parking space for me. Really appreciate their flexibility to handle the reported problem.
Good location, poor services.
Building management is poor. It used to be good few years ago but any more. It could take a year to solve minor issues and some issues are never sorted. Big building with single very small loft that breaks a lot. Location is very good but services are poor. Noisy in summer as you need to keep the windows open.

Excellent location but horrible service by A2Dominion. Bin collection is OK, no antisocial behaviour but theft issue that is jot dealt with by A2Dominion despite residents complaints.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They take very long time to respond and usually in a disappointing way.
Absolutely perfect! In the heart of Bristol’s harbour side
The building itself fits with the local area and is definitely one of the nicest in the area.
The white building with its wooden features is a clean and minimalist example of prestige modern architecture.
The noise cancelling glazing windows are perfect as they keep the inside quiet from the occasional city buzz.
The property is protected via fob access meaning no one else is able to snoop around – which is great for when you want that extra peace of mind.
Over the years we have really made our place feel homely and feel happy to made the decision to move here all these years ago.

Been living at Canons Gate for over three years and it has been absolutely splendid being in the hear of Bristol, right by the harbour side.
The location, being near many restaurants, activity facilities and green areas has been fantastic. From local cafes, to chains there is never a dull time in the area.
Right next to multiple bus stops, hopping around Bristol and coming back home has never been easier.
The underground car park space that comes with our property is super handy, especially in the centre it feels safe.
The area, although in the centre of a busy city is quiet! Which we been a great perk of living at Canons Gate.

Before we moved in, we were not familiar with this side of Bristol – so finding out about the local community more and more along the years has been a pleasure!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We’ve had small issues here and there with oven lightbulbs, bathroom lights etc. nothing major.
Each time A2 have responded well and efficiently to resolve any issues.
Comfortable homes in a fantastic location with great amenities and property management
The property design is modern and simple, allowing you to add furnishings and decor to your taste. Secure underground car parking, bike storage and rubbish centre. Property management are responsive and handle and issues very promptly. Annual reviews are in place to ensure various equipment is running efficiently e.g. immersion heater and ventilation systems. The flat would benefit with some refresh in decoration such as a fresh lick of paint on the walls, replacing carpet with laminate/wooden flooring to minimise carpet moths, and an addition of splash back tiling on walls around the sink and hob as plain painted walls become grubby. External areas of the flat are in need of some attention. The decking and wooden planters have become quite weather damaged, so would benefit from being cleaned and painted, or completely replaced as the decking becomes somewhat hazardous when wet or where wood has warped. The courtyard and other planted areas have felt a little neglected recently, particularity the grass which has become destroyed from dogs urinating on it.

Good location for access to transport links – multiple bus routes nearby and Bristol Temple Meads takes under 20 minutes to get to by foot. A small selection of convenience supermarket stores, bars and restaurants are right on the doorstep of this development, with even more choice a short walk away. Cabot Circus and Broadmead are a short walk away. The area between Canons Gate and Invicta could be gated off to make it more private for tenants, prevent it being a walkthrough and reduce potential anti-social behaviour in the area. Overall a good place to live, having been here for over 3 years.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any problems or issues are promptly responded to with a solution. Repairs or replacements are sorted very quickly.
Building itself is nice but management a bit problematic
Design looks clean and modern, basic facilities. Building management can be excruciatingly slow, with issues with the lift and hallway walls taking months to sort. Security into the building is a problem, with packages and bikes frequently stolen and A2’s reluctance to install some sort of package locking system is causing a lot of unhappy tenants.

Great local area, loads of nearby transport. Bin collections aren’t an issue as we have a bin store in the basement of the block

Responded to issues raised, but taken ages to fix them.
Internally the property is now tired
Internally the property is now tired whilst kept clean the carpets and walls in the flats and communal areas are due replacement or repainting. The main flaw in the development is that there is only one lift and if it is out of action as it was this summer for many weeks it ruins the whole rental experience and I sure you received numerous complaints about it.

The location is excellent but does have a problem with thieves stealing deliveries and things left in communal areas such as the bike store.

Within in the building the tenants all seem friendly, it is quiet and enjoyable to live there

I have issues with my carpets grippers and edging as they stick through the carpet and cut feet and ruin socks etc this has been going on for months, still not fixed although someone is coming next week apparently.
Decent property, poor management
Design is ok. Doesn’t offer much in terms of facilities. Building and property management overall could be a lot better. There’s little to no communication with tenants and if there is, it comes at a much later time following any issues that have occurred.
