Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Berkshire House is slap bang in the middle of the High street, so easy and close access to all the shops you need and to many restaurants and takeaway places is right on your doorstep, in fact Greggs is literally downstairs! There is a Bus Stop right outside the front of the building and the train station is an 8 minute (flat) walk away. One downside to the location is the noise and anti-social behaviour generated from the pubs that are literally across and down the road. Weekends especially are very noisy, and the live bands at the Maidens Head on Saturday's mean you need to close all windows to hear your television, if you are facing the Windsor side. However, if you are on the Windsor side on a higher floor, there are great views to be had from the building.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Quickly and efficiently with all raised physical issues being dealt with in a very professional and timely manner.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Try to get an apartment on the 'dark side', which is facing Windsor and London, as the heat in the summer on the other side is uncompromising, with the floor to ceiling windows facing South/South West.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There are plenty of grocery shops nearby which makes it easy for me to carry out my weekly grocery runs. There are also some nice restaurants and cafes nearby which are in walking distance. Transport is easy as the bus stop is right outside the building and the train station is only about a 6 minute walk away. Although sometimes it can get noisy due to traffic, it is not a common occurrence and it is an overall peaceful area.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have responded extremely quickly and my issues were fixed within the same week of me raising them.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how hot my apartment would get during the summer. On the really hot days, simply drawing the blinds would not be enough -- you would have to get an aircon / fan to ensure that the apartment does not overheat. This may not be the case for all units, however it was for mine, so I got a fan to help with the heat.
Manager response
Thank you, VC, for your fantastic feedback. We’re delighted to hear you value the team’s efficiency and the regular upgrades that keep Berkshire House in top condition. Your note on summer cooling is really helpful, and we’re glad you’ve otherwise found the building and amenities so enjoyable.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Berkshire House is located right in the center of Maidenhead on the High Street. This makes it a great location because everything is nearby at a walkable distance . For Groceries & utilities Sainsbury Supermarket, Tesco, Mark & Spenser, Boots, Nicholson's Shopping center is less than 5 minute walk from the building. There are lot of good restaurants & pubs and multiple food options available on the High street. The station is also 5-10 minutes walk from the building and the Bus Stop is right opposite to the building making it very convenient for residents to have good access to the Public Transport. Parking spots are also available at Sainsbury Supermarket building. Most importantly the whole area is quite lively and feels super safe even at night.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management is quite proactive & supportive while responding to any questions/issues. They handle all the questions/issues in a professional manner and will guide the residents with the best solutions/answers. They respond with a very small turnaround time & in case of an emergency they are also available on Emergency Resident calling number. They take all efforts to make sure Residents feel comfortable & at home in the building.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in Maidenhead offers a good balance of convenience and comfort. The town has a decent range of shops, restaurants, and bars, with more options available in nearby Windsor and Reading. Open spaces such as parks and riverside walks along the Thames are a real highlight. Transport links are strong, especially with the Elizabeth Line making London easily accessible. Local bus services are reliable.. Bin collections are regular and efficient, and the area feels very safe with almost null anti-social behaviour. Some traffic noise is noticeable during busy hours, but overall, it’s a pleasant and well-connected place to live.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management; Oxana and the team have been very responsive and professional, addressing issues promptly and ensuring they are resolved efficiently.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known earlier how welcoming and friendly the community is. Neighbours are supportive, and there’s a real sense of belonging. A great tip for new residents is to explore the riverside walks and local cafes, which really add to the enjoyment of living here.
Manager response
Thank you, Alissar, for your generous feedback. We’re delighted to hear that both the design of the building and the support from Oxana and Lucas have made your experience so positive. It’s also wonderful to know you’ve found such a welcoming community and are enjoying the best of what Maidenhead has to offer.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There is a very good range of local shops, cafés and restaurants in Maidenhead, with plenty of choice and generally good quality. Open spaces and parks are also easy to access, which makes the area pleasant. Transport links are excellent, with the bus stop just across the road and the train station nearby, so commuting is convenient. Transport links are excellent, with the Elizabeth Line providing fast and direct access to central London, as well as local bus services and the train station within easy reach.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management has always been responsive and helpful, dealing with any issues quickly and professionally.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had not ignored the fact that the apartments do not have air conditioning. During hotter days, it can get quite warm indoors, so having a fan or portable cooling unit is very helpful. Otherwise, the apartment is comfortable, and the building management is always approachable and quick to assist.
Manager response
Thank you, K Jabeen, for your thoughtful review. We’re so pleased to hear you feel safe, comfortable, and well supported by the team at Berkshire House. Your note on summer cooling is very helpful, and we’re glad the building remains a welcoming and enjoyable place to call home.
