Our Beautiful Davisson’s Home

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I really feel that our Davison's home is in the perfect spot. It is within easy walking distance to the main high street which is full of beautiful boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and much more! There are also many country walks that you can do across fields or along paths, which take you into pretty little villages. We have our own leisure centre, library and even our own castle! The transport links are great from here with buses running regularly. Our bin collections are good & regular. We are very happy here, it is a very peaceful place to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues were addressed and rectified quickly! We were so impressed with how any problems were sorted out!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would tell them how wonderful their Davisson’s home is likely to be and hopefully they would be very happy in it just like we are in ours!

Fantastic Place to Live

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Ashby Gardens has lots of nearby shops, including two large supermarkets and lots of food options. Parking is ample (most houses have at least two off road parking spaces) though some households do have cars parked at the side of the road. It’s a very quiet development that benefits from being very close to nature - you are surrounded by countryside and there’s lots of Green space on the development itself.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The developer (Davidsons) fixed all snagging issues we have really quickly and the quality of the work was top notch!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Minor thing but considering fibre to the premises is installed at the property, with both Openreach and Virgin Media, I would have liked to have known the average speeds we would get. It has improved since moving in, but at the start it was slower than our previously property.

Excellent Living in Ashby Gardens

Caroline L (Owner)

Dec 2022

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in Ashby-de-La-Zouch is brilliant! We feel very fortunate that there are so many amenities within reach, from local shops like the butchers and bakery, to larger supermarkets like M&S and Tesco. While there isn’t a train station, Ashby is conveniently located near the motorway, so getting to other transport links like Tamworth or Birmingham is really easy. Within our development of Ashby Gardens it’s very peaceful - there haven’t been any downsides so far. It’s very quiet and our neighbours have been very welcoming.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Davidsons has been very quick to respond and has completed any outstanding work in a timely manner to a very high level.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The number of cars that park on the side of the road near the entrance to the development wasn’t initially something we noticed. This isn’t the fault of the developer, but does make driving into the development slightly less easy.

The development is so lovely

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

* We have a good size Co-op food a few minutes away * Seems to be a good amount of buses that go through the town that I’ve seen * Lots of open spaces and fields * A few different restaurants, but could definitely do with some more options * A few supermarkets * Can’t hear a lot of traffic where we live * Not too happy that the bin collections are every other week, it can build up a lot in between collections * Parking seems to be excellent so far * So far it’s been a lovely, quiet town to live in

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded the any and every query we have had so far. Any time we have needed some advice or extra paint or whatever it may be, they have been there to help us get it sorted.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

* I wish I had known just how stressful the whole process was * Ask any and all questions you can think of, the team that dealt with us were beyond patient and accommodating * Make sure to check what’s around (supermarkets etc) * Look at EVERYTHING when viewing, take photos so you can refer back to them

Our Beautiful Davidson’s Home!

Julie (Owner)

Aug 2021

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We absolutely love the location of our estate in Ashby! We are within a short walking distance from the main town, where there is a great choice of shops, bars, restaurants, cafe’s, hair and beauty salons. There are also some beautiful country walks which are close by and again they have a nice country pub if you fancy refreshments. The street we live on is quiet and we have never had a problem parking our visitors cars. The refuge collection is great and they collect from outside our house. We can fully recommend the location of Ashby Gardens!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We have either called or emailed Davidson’s and they have promptly sorted any issues out for us.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Again, knowing you are going to get exceptional customer service from the builder.
