Great location, but with parking problems

The design of the development is very eye pleasing and in a great location, for commuters and for families. The building management has room for improvement, as I have said previously the parking has been a major issue with tradesmen parking in resident bays even though there is clear signs stating not to park there, leaving residents unable to park. I have had to complain on numerous occasions over Twitter, and when my husband went to speak to the site manager and say that the ground workers had parked in our parking bays we were greeted with “and??”. When we moved in (24/7/2020) we weren’t told that the road was being laid so we were unable to drive the van with all our belongings in up to the house we had to park at the end of the road and carry our belongings in the rain. The men working at the time helped with a forklift with the heavier items.
Overall a great conscientious place to live but management could be improved.

The range of shops, local amenities are brilliant everything is within walking distance including local transport (bus train etc). With routes straight into London in u see an hour.
Our street is lovely and quite quiet, however the parking has been a constant issue, the tradesmen and anyone who worked on site parked in residents bays and I have had to complain on numerous occasions. There is little to no traffic noise and bin collections are really reliable.

I wish I had known that the day we moved in the road was being laid so we capfuls have rearranged to make it easier.

High standards and good problem solving

The building are completed to high standards. We have had a few issues since then. They have helped mend them and considering it is a covid time they have been very supportive with issues as they arrive. It’s is advisable to log any problems individually so that each problem gets dealt with separately and none get missed out. If you can send them pictures to make sure issues are fully understood before repairs are organised,

They have a very good emergency team for serious issues. They fixed our external
gas issues that same day.

The parking places are not well marked for each persons place but the builders have since added safety new lights to the car park that my wife uses. This has been a long term worry to me as she often has returns from work throughout the year after dark and the car park had no alternative lighting.

Situated on central Farnham edge provides opportunities as don’t drive & rely on public transport.

The housing is really good quality but it is worth noting that in the first 2 years of tenancy only minimal changes can be made to the interiors design.

The comparable expenses of this social housing to other social housing and council housing. The overall standard of housing is very good though. There is an ongoing issue between the council bin collection and the social housing bins as the bin doors are often left open after collection and the doors have been broken a few times.

Such a beautiful place to live well built the suite manager is so helpful all the work men are very polite 😀 and the people that live there are lovely love the layout and where they have put the bins all the plants and trees they have included and the bike shed so many places to walk.🙂🙂🙂

Lovely place to live the shops are very close train station is only a short walk away bins are easy to get to and the neighbours are very friendly.

The only thing I would say is there is not enough information about those the heating works.

Design is very well thought out throughout the flat developments! Although a separate kitchen may have been a more practical design but would take away floor space.

The communication between contractors and people living in the street is somewhat negative! Especially involving parking / general noise levels.

Local area is beautiful and located in a great mix of town / rural area.

Transport is fantastic- access to main roads through private road plus train and bus links less than 10 min walk away.

Our street currently is very noisy due to on going properties being built / finished. Park is terrible for tenants in flats! They are located round the back which is fine but not labelled very clearly so anyone parks there.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known they emergency lighting had not been put in and that a lot of work was still needed to be completed surrounding the flats so paths have been out of use.

The building work in general is good but the development finishing time has been delayed. The road and pathway sometimes messy and not tidy, the condition and arrangements could be better. It would be better if The development company can send residence regular update for the building progress.

The living room space. The lighting system by changing to spot light.

Happy tenants

The rooms are nice size and well design and positioned. We always have natural bright light even in the winter grey dark months. The parking lot is private and even when it can be a little dark is great to have your own space where your car is secure.

The street is quiet and nice, easy walk into town and amenities. Nice gardens and a lovely walk just outside our door.

The site is still not complete (May ‘21?) so as residents we are waiting to see how it will look when the landscaping is done. Will be interesting to see if the appointed Management company are effective, or not. To date they’ve done little to nothing to justify their fees charged to residents.

Great location with proximity to the town centre but quality of houses is disappointing and just awful customer service from the developer.

That the house quality and subsequent customer service would be as poor as they are

Be built by a superior developer and less houses on the site.

The property management is very poor so far. The new built road are already falling into pieces. the stoned pathway are not managed, the lawns are just fields of mud, nothing is cleaned. After a storm this winter, dead tree bracnhes were lef in the middle of the road for weeks…

The location of the development is really nice… between fields and city center. Close to the Main street and Waitrose.

I would still buy because of thelocation but buying new from TW means dealing with all sorts of problems for many months… I hope to be out of it at some point and stop having to contact them about new issue all the time.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

My back lawn is terrible… they spent all this money on new turf to simply put it directly on top of construction waste… It is like Easter in my garden but instead of picking up chocolate, you can pick up rusty nails.
