I really enjoy living at The Gorge

I really enjoy living at The Gorge. The facilities are great and the team are friendly. I have meet lots of people whilst living here and settled in quickly. I enjoy the socials and there is good variety. I feel a bbq would be beneficial for the summer to make better use of the courtyard space. And maybe a running machine in the gym.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is very convienent for heading into Exeter, being only a ten minute walk from the town center. And there is a supermarket write opposite which is very useful!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes quickly and they are easily to contact or talk too.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I have changed rooms since living here and maybe it would have been helpful to see a bigger variety of rooms before moving in.

Great site, worth the price

Great amenities. Cinema room, pool table, gym, big communal kitchen, co-working space, coffee machine and TV snug all free to use and included in the rent. Also launderette on site, although you do have to pay for that separately. In room amenities really good, modern and tremendous amount of storage. Self contained shower/toilet is really good - only downside is that light in the bathroom is on a a timer that goes off whilst you are in the shower and have to step out to turn light back on.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very close to the centre of town, directly opposite a supermarket yet not too busy either. Quiet area of Exeter both in traffic and noise. Only downside is per the council you are not entitled to a parking permit.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very responsive. On site presence/reception desk open long hours so really convenient to get help.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Council tax and TV licence isn't included, although all other bills are.

The Gorge offers more than just an apartment; it offers a lifestyle

I'm thrilled to be a resident at The Gorge. The moment you step into the building, you're greeted by a stunningly designed interior that creates a truly welcoming atmosphere. It's clear a lot of thought went into the aesthetics, making it a pleasure to come home to. Beyond the beautiful design, the amenities here are top-notch. Having a fully equipped gym readily available is a game-changer, and it's fantastic not to have to worry about a separate gym membership. The overall cleanliness of the building is also commendable - a big thanks to the dedicated management team who is consistently friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to assist residents.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Grocery shopping store and public transport (bus) across the building---very convenient. No parking space for tenants.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

It's always great to have a responsive management team. I'm glad to hear they were prompt and professional in resolving the issue with the broken lights. Their responsiveness is a testament to their commitment to resident satisfaction.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

While my own room has been quiet, I would have appreciated knowing a bit more about potential noise concerns in certain areas of the building. It might be helpful for future residents to be aware that noise complaints can be an issue in some parts.

The reception staff are friendly and responsive, making it easy to pick up parcels and communicate with them. The co-living kitchen is a unique feature, providing a convenient space for residents to welcome friends. Overall, it's been an enjoyable experience, and I plan to extend my stay once this contract ends.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location is convenient, being close to a supermarket, a library, and a bus stop. However, if you live near the supermarket, you might hear some noise from trucks moving goods at night.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The management servise is quick reponsive. When you forget take the key, the staff will open door for you in a short time even at night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The reception will give some flower seed to decorate your room.

High quality co living studios

Raymond M (Tenant)

Verified Resident

The Gorge, EX1

Apr 2024

The Gorge is designed to a high standard throughout with a good quality gym, cinema room, co working area and communal kitchen in addition to the studios themselves. Maintenance team is very responsive and resolves issues quickly. The onsite team is very helpful and friendly and run events and activities for the residents to join in if they wish.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The Gorge is located quite close to the centre of Exeter, perhaps a ten minute walk. In the immediate area there is a Waitrose supermarket directly across the road and St Lukes Campus of the University of Exeter is 2 minutes away. It is also near the independent shops and cafes in Magdalen Rd. Good transport links into the city and beyond from the main road. The main road does get a lot of traffic noise but you cannot hear this from inside the property or the courtyard inside.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have always quickly responded and have tried to provide solutions.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Take advantage of the bus services that pass by. Several can take you to the coast and currently only cost £2 for a single journey.
