Terrible I’ve lived here a while my bike was stolen from bike sheds to which nothing was done I contacted the police but cameras wasn’t working. A dog got killed by another dog while being here and I’ve had homeless people living in the bike stores. People smoke cannabis everyday complained to Ocasa homes nothing was BBC ever done. Fire alarms had me standing outside for hours because no one was train how to turn it off.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good living close to the beach. Bad is being close to pubs loud music of weekend. neighbours are not friendly at all

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The problems never solved from drug use to noisy neighbours

To avoid Ocasa homes at all cost because they do not care!!

VERY HOT! Unless you want to live in a Sauna, do NOT move into one of the upper floors (4 or 5). The kitchen has NO windows so when cooking you will be sweating constantly. You have a single extractor dan and thats it. My bedroom has one openable window but even then, the room stays around 30+ celcius most of the time. The corridors also have no windows or ventilation. This design is terrible and you do feel very claustraphobic on hot days. They also rarely tell you about viewings or visitors so people do just randomly walk into the communal space without warning. Management are also hard to get hold of when you have questions. There are also no recycling bins, just general waste which gets filled very quickly, often with cardboard which is sad to see. Also, they do not supply the kitchens with microwaves, toasters, and kettles. All of these I had to buy myself. Even bins for the kitchen were not provided in my case. The washing machine was also full of mould. Had to spent two hours taking it apart to clean it myself and the casing is still heavily mould stained and can be smelly at times. I cannot believe the audacity they have to expect tenants to clean rooms upon leaving yet mine was left filthly by the agents upon my arrival! TLDR: Its cheap, so expect facilities of equal value.

Close to city center but very noisy at time with bars and clubs nearby. Convenient if you work in the city center and lots of shops about. However there are lots of drug dealers and homeless nearby, sometimes at the entrance of the building. I witnessed a drug deal in front of my van on the day I moved in!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They were quick to get a broken extractor sorted but thats about it

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Seriously, be prepared for serious heat in the summer months if youre in the upper floors. The kitchen becomes unbareable very quickly

It is quite quiet and there is not much going on in terms of bad things at the area. However, there has been some bad reviews of the neighbourhood in general. No complaints as my experience has been generally good.

No issues currentlywith management as i have had no issues with the property

I have had no issues since moving in and I am content.

The local area is interesting to say the least, it has what you need around it e.g., food shops, some pubs, gyms not too far away. However the people and atmosphere can be weird.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Most problems are responded to but this takes time and often persistence.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The area is not the best, we had read not great reviews before about Ocasa but tbh they have been fine. It’s a cheap flat and they maintain the building well cleaning it etc, they do fix most issues, but the area is not nice.

The place is near the essential amenities like hospital post office job centre town center bus station. The place is safe and sound and also clean.parking is good .

They have responded very well there are no issues with them

Tenancy agreement should have a 6 months option renew of otherwise
