Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Since moving in to ocasa homes in Ipswich on pearsons Road in December 2025, it is the worst house I am living in and that is because of the contract of staying 6months which I did. Firstly , it was what I saw on virtual tour versus what I got as a reality, virtual tour showed a ready to move in clean house but when I entered the house on the day I came to collect key with my luggages, it was being cleaned with the excuse of those that lived here did not keep it clean, please how is that my concern. The second experience was the day I decided to use the kitchen, the kitchen sink was bad, had stagnant water in it and was smelling, was told a report has been sent, I was in the house for one month and had to be emptying dirty water outside with a bucket for my first month, this is absolutely unacceptable even after reporting. Had a discussion with them and asked to be compensated but as usual, was silently ignored for two months with no response. The worst of all is presently not having hot water in my flat, reported when I came in at about 1:33 am and till now, no hot water. Called the office and was told it is the whole flat, so the question I ask is when I am reporting, am I the whole flat. Was told they are working on it. Till now as I am typing this, no hot water. Anywhere I see review for Ocasa homes, just get ready for me. I have had no good experience living here, all i have has been bad experiences. Renting here is the worst mistake to make.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They have silently ignored me after discussing with on of their staffs at their ipswich office on the 30 th of March, till date, no feedback. I sent them an email to thank them for the silent response. It is waste of time talking with them. No hot water till date I reported when I returned to my flat early hours of Monday, 11/5/2025 at 1:33 am, nothing have been done. Called out of hour services, was told an engineer would come that night, told them I am up till 12am because I had to speak with a friend in Australia, no show. It was the following morning while at work I saw a message from the engineer. As in I should leave work to come and attend to you, I did not get.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known someone that went there to do a live video and show me the place. I wish I had come earlier and asked around about the place because it is not worth it. Anywhere I see Ocasa homes, I will write my review there . I don’t send reviews but this particular one, get ready for me even in years to come, you will get my review.

Lovely building, nice park in the front of the building & shops and pubs nearby. Have to travel to experience much else, as there isn’t much going on in the local area. Rife in parcel theft which can say something about the area & lack of security. Strange characters hovering around the building.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Responded inadequately, sometimes waiting weeks for important issues to resolve. Minor problems resolved quickly.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Wish I knew the area, how terrible the management was & lack of safety id occasionally feel. Complete disregard for tenants is palpable.

Good living close to the beach. Bad is being close to pubs loud music of weekend. neighbours are not friendly at all

The problems never solved from drug use to noisy neighbours

To avoid Ocasa homes at all cost because they do not care!!

Close to city center but very noisy at time with bars and clubs nearby. Convenient if you work in the city center and lots of shops about. However there are lots of drug dealers and homeless nearby, sometimes at the entrance of the building. I witnessed a drug deal in front of my van on the day I moved in!
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
They were quick to get a broken extractor sorted but thats about it
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Seriously, be prepared for serious heat in the summer months if youre in the upper floors. The kitchen becomes unbareable very quickly

It is quite quiet and there is not much going on in terms of bad things at the area. However, there has been some bad reviews of the neighbourhood in general. No complaints as my experience has been generally good.

No issues currentlywith management as i have had no issues with the property

I have had no issues since moving in and I am content.
