Unsatisfactory security

I like the location, it is a close proximity to where I study. Another advantage is the fact that the bills are included. When it comes to the negatives, the lack of washing machines in the actual flats is a big problem- no cameras in the washing machine room so things end up getting stolen and they are always full. The lifts keep breaking and theres only two lots of stairs. The management treats the Chinese tenants very badly especially when their english isn’t good – this includes the maintenance staff. Frequents floods in flats and maintenance enters the flats without permission – breach of a contract.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Likes : location, bills included
dislikes: washing machine issues and management in general

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish there was more information on the process on renting as not from the uk.

Great sense of community

I chose the place because of location. It’s a lovely listed building. Single glazed original windows that are hard to change. Next door have a swimming pool so that would be lovely. Building management could be better but they get it done eventually. The directors in the flats are good at escalating issues. Best feature is the location.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Everything you need is within walking distance. Right in the middle of train stations. Shops and restaurants

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Came as it appeared. Nothing I wish I had known before.

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature is really good value for a 2 bed.

Great location its so good

Size of flat is really good prices wish bike storage was better. You have to have fobs. We chose to live here as the uni is close, best feature is kitchen and living space and cleanliness. Building management can be slow but they’re nice. Would be nice to have a concierge.

Central location

Quite dated. Got all the facilities I need. Building management respond well it is clean etc. The estate agent doesn’t respond. Value for money is a bit below market. Location was the primary factor for purchase.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

2 mins to Piccadilly, 2 mins to university. Great transport links. Shops and restaurants all good.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It is more dated than I realised it would be. But still great location.

If there is one thing you would change about your flat or property what would it be:

Would modernise it a little bit, but fab location.
