Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Parking for residents is limited and poorly designed. What developer builds a 4-bed house with one parking space on a driveway? Parking space for visitors is non-existent so expect clogged up roads throughout the development Bin collections are good and generally reliable - they take more recycling here and general rubbish than other areas we've lived Public transport is limited and only from the centre of Bolsover- a 15 minute walk away from this development. You need a car or be prepared to get taxis if public transport isn't for you Doctors are pretty good. There is no NHS dentist in Bolsover so expect to travel of any are taking patients on We've been here 3 years and were expecting more upgrades/enhancements to the centre of Bolsover by now with all the new estates/homeowners buying but apart from a few nice coffee shops, the centre is full of takeaways or tlbarbers/hairdressers so little on offer to spend money here rather than Chesterfield, Sheffield etc. Makes you wonder what Bolsover District Council are spending their money on?

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The lack of car parking for residents and visitors is so poor its laughable. If we'd have spent time looking at this more thoroughly we'd probably not have bought the house We'd also wished we'd have spoken to residents before buying as if an honest opinion was given by most from Sutherland Farm View, Boleappleton and Nether View, again we probably wouldn't have purchased on this development

What is the best feature of your home:

The design of the house is excellent giving spacious living areas we thought we'd relish

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

About a 10 minute walk from the middle of bolsover so great for the shops and any events put on in the town, got some lovely walks in the fields behind the cemetery but it looks like these will also become housing developments as well…

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

On street parking is pretty poor for guests, and I cant believe some of the big 4-beds only have a drive big enough for 1 space!! Who designs a house like that in this day and age?!

What is the best feature of your home:

The big back room is lovely for hosting, the layout is what sold us.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bolsover struggles and most people travel to Chesterfield and surrounding areas to shop No public transport on the development but can be accessed in Bolsover Medical facilities are excellent Parking for visitors is very poor Bin collection is very good Don’t exspect to keep your car or home to be clean due to dust when it’s dry and mud when wet.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Make sure you get the fixtures and fitting you see in the show home Don’t accept verbal promises Speak to people who already live in the type of home you’re going to buy ,they won’t mind and will give you a good insight into what you’re getting

What is the best feature of your home:

The downstairs space and large family room The main roof isn’t leaking

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local shops need Improving as they aren’t very inviting, virtually all the new build residential travel to Chesterfield/ Sheffield for variety ,and choice. Open spaces are none existent but there are plenty if you’re prepared to travel. There are no transport links on the development, the streets are reasonably quiet except for large builder’s vehicles during the week due to on going construction work , there is no parking for visitors , bin collection is good, there is anti social behaviour in Bolsover.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Should have really questioned the site plan scale / spent more time walking around the development and looking at the proximity of houses/ asked questions on specific time scales for completion of roads and footpaths and not accept verbal possibly time scales from sales staff. Ask for a firm completion date of your phase .

What is the best feature of your home:

Large family and kitchen space Large main bedroom

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Bad aspect - why have Jones homes put high fencing up all the way around the new house being built on the corner by the island? It looks like a prison. Call themselves signature!!!

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We wish that we had been shown the house BEFORE we ere expected to complete. They did this because they wanted money. It was obvious they couldn’t care less about the fact that the house hadn’t been finished properly -disgusting!

What is the best feature of your home:

The best feature is that we have trees at the end of our garden.
