Transport Links In Dundee
Dundee is connected by road, rail and air to the rest of Scotland – as well as internationally through its airport.
There are regular buses that run into Glasgow (approximately one hour) with many connections available along the route. There are also regular bus services around Dundee as well as trains running several times an hour from Edinburgh Waverley Station directly to Broughty Ferry Train Station on Canal Street.
The train journey from Dundee to Edinburgh is around two and a half hours, making it an easy day trip option. If travelling by car, the city is well connected with the M90 motorway.

The City of Dundee has a population of around 150,000 people, mostly gathered around the banks of the River Tay. The city is considered to be one of Scotland’s five largest cities (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling) based on its population ranking within the UK.
The economy of Dundee is varied, with many companies based within the city. Major employers include NHS Tayside, Tesco and the University of Dundee.
