Nice houses, on a quiet development, but could be better managed

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I live in a smaller lane, with minimal passing traffic. It’s always pretty quiet. Bin collections are regular. The small shop on the development is handy for essentials, but I normally go to Aldi or M&S nearby. The 20 minute walk there is pleasant. Shared parking is no problem. There is a litter problem because of the school children (it disappears during holidays). As with all of Bertha Park, open spaces are scruffy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Kind-of ignored me on move in, but have had no further issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I’m wish I’d known how much litter there is from school kids.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

There is 1 shop, 1 pharmacy and 2 take away places. Very rural with awful bus route timetable having a car is essential. Lots of antisocial behaviour and litter along with overgrown weeds and lack of road maintenece

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very slow turn over with maintenance work as in took 13 months to fix snagging issues, don’t care in the slightest about tenants have been massively let down and left out of pocket

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew what an awful company they were I’d have never moved here if I had the chance to avoid them I certainly would

Unfortunately, we cannot identify you via the personal information available to us from Home Views, however based on some of the content in your review we believe we have been able to locate your tenancy. If we are correct in our identification, we are sorry to hear that you are still unsatisfied with your home and the service provided to you. We can see that upon move in you reported a number of snagging issues which took longer than ordinarily expected to complete by the housebuilder. As an apology for this, we can see the team offered you a gesture of good will which was accepted. We can see that since then, you reported a new reactive maintenance repair of a leak to your kitchen ceiling which was fixed within the expected timeframes. We can also see that following further reactive reports your lawn was made good. I am pleased to see that the team have acted professionally, been helpful and worked tirelessly to get any maintenance reported completed for you, with all maintenance reports to date completed.

The shops and take away are very good, the local walking routes are lovely, transport is fine buses could be a little better, my street is nice and quiet however the new road being built right beside the house can be quite noisy the house itself is stunning and the neighbours are all lovely & simple life are very easy to deal with

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

In a very timely manner and promptly, very easy to go on the app and report an issue

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The only thing I wish I had known before moving in was that the main road was going to be built right beside my house causing a lot of noise and disruption through the day

As the development area is fairly new we only have 1 shop, 1 takeaway and a pharmacy. Parking availability is okay but would be better to have allocated spaces

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any problems that were reported have been responded to in reasonable time

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would have been helpful to know if any decorating was allowed

Lovely large garden .

The few shops that are there are with a lovely and there is a lovely cafe which holds regular events. I had a rental very close to Bertha Park School and the street is quiet l also had lovely neighbours. Like a lot of places Bertha Park no longer has an evening bus service which l missed .

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Response is prompt however l did stay in on several occasions and no one turned up to fix issue or in one case for the inspection but l think l was just unlucky as it did not seem to happen to others l spoke to .We moved house and had deposit returned in full so no complaints there.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Savings on energy are huge. You may or may not have a numbered car space for one car . Some rentals had numbered spaces but only certain streets.
