The plimsol

Verified Resident

The new developments at kings cross have come up in the recent few years showing great attention to detail and finishing. Ive been fortunate to live here for the last year after experiencing living in various neighborhoods around London and this has been the most enjoyable.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The only downside to living in a newly build development would be the weak internet service provided and the fact that none of the major companies supply here

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If I had known the area would be booming as it is, I would have made more investments in the areA

A really nice place to live

Verified Resident

Great area although a lot of it is still under development. A cinema is on the corner of the building (not related to the building) so watching movies is fairly easy and quick. Fairly noisy in the mornings due to a lot of construction (so keep the windows closed or you’re getting up early). Water takes aminute to heat up, but honestly that’s it. Bonus round: the concierge handles all post and delivery drivers, so rather than leaving the building to grab deliveroo, it just appears at your door.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Like: pretty area, Waitrose a close walk away for groceries.
Dislike: a hefty amount of construction.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

WI-FI! Setting up Wi-fi was a pain, just about no company will do it (we got in a month long fight with talk-talk about their inability to do it for us). The solution is fairly easy however, just use the routers that are already plugged in here and go to ‘See the Light.’ It’s the pre-setup company in this building. 1 phone call and you should be fine.

Verified Resident

I love living in the Plimsoll building the area is fantastic the views are spectacular and it’s a pleasure to be a resident there. The neighbours are wonderful and the people that live in the building are very welcoming.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The area has a fantastic community spirit but could do with some more local shops like a chemist

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I love living in central London but also being so close to the Kanow with the beautiful walks

Good place to live

Verified Resident

Quite a quiet neighbourhood at the moment. Lots of construction sites around at the moment so one does need to be careful when walking around, especially when it’s very windy, which is one of the problems of living here. Very convenient Waitrose close by, as well as Coal drops Yard which should start having pretty good shops in the near future.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

+: Convenient Waitrose, good restaurants close by like Kimchee
+: Very close to the tube
-: High wind speeds

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

High wind speeds can sometimes be a problem, but actually it was mostly as expected
