Saffron Square is a huge, 43-storey development from the Berkeley Group. It pierces the skyline in the middle of Croydon, and is close to both East and West Croydon stations for transport into and around London. When complete, the area’s highly anticipated (in-construction) Westfield shopping mall will be a five-minute walk away. Read more

Lovely views and safe to live. Great for Commute

Verified Resident

Its a very safe locality to live. Great connections to london and south and even places like cambridge and milton keynes. Commute is great. Shopping centre closeby. Concierge helps to collect parcel etc. Parking in the basement which is good.

Living here for 5+years – loving it

Verified Resident

We have been living here for the last 5+ years and we love everything about Saffron. The proximity to both east and west croydon stations, Accessiblity to Shopping centres and local/regional stores is a BIG plus.

Tesco express in the same premises is a blessing. The terrace is great to chill out in summer.

Good place to live

Everything is near, and neighbours are good, you get to know new people. In summer though it is bad because there is no garden and you can’t do like a barbecue with friends.. however, as I said shops are nearby and the station as well so it’s very easy to get to central London

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

No places to eat
Good facilities

It’s so windy..

Satisfied.

Verified Resident

The Bills are very high. That is the only negative thing about living here together with theagency costs. Considering the positive things, the gym is so nice and concierge is good.. also, I never really had any issues here.

I love the area and my flat.. it is just quite expensive

I like it and it’s good for families

Verified Resident

We have been living here for 3 years and we really like it. Transport is good and the concierge is great.. I like the area, it is very safe. The interns are good and the design is perfect. I have a little girl and it’s good for her too, the rooms are very warm.

Great place to live.

Easy to get to the centre of London, transport is great. My flat has the best view.. you can see the city from there.
Shops are great as well.
You don’t spend much on heating neither.. it is quite cheap and electricity as well.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

It was nominated as one of the ugliest building architecturally… The view is amazing though

Love my house

Verified Resident

This place is my special place! I Love my flat, I love the area , I love the transport… the only thing which is very annoying is the wind! It is so wi dy and I even fell once.. Also, I wish there where more pubs and cafes and restaurants inside the development! Walking around Croydon is not super safe. So they should definitely build some more places to go at night here in Saffron Square.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Love the area itself but I wish we had pubs in Saffron Square

I like this flat, my bedroom has a nice view over Saffron Square..the area itself is not safe.. but the development is super nice and I feel safe whenever I get home. Also, there are many shops around, cafes and a great gym just behind my building

Lovely flat with nice view..

Verified Resident

The view is perfect, I can actually see a little bit of the Shard from my window! We knew this place was good because it had a nice reputation but actually when you ger yo live here you realise how good is it. It is perfect, and it is so close to central London too. It is definitely the best place to live in Croydon.
