    Good build quality, poor site maintenance

    The quality of build is very good and the internal fixtures and fittings are also great. The gardens are as to be expected in a new build (a bit on the small side, but it does the job) The site maintenance is abysmal. We all pay the management company an annual fee yet the 'public areas' that are supposed to be maintained by the management company are left to neglect. If I'd have known this I wouldn't have purchased a house next to one of the site managed areas. Not sure what we pay the annual fee for.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Nice quiet area, parking is a bit of a problem on the cul-de-sacs. No issues with bin collection. No antisocial behaviour.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I wish I'd have known that the site wouldnt be maintained after woodall left the site. We were told that the management company would manage the site but it's left to neglect

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Nice build quality, pretty looking house, nice layout internally.

    The overall development is typical of a new build estate, roads could be wider, the common areas to be managed by owner lead management company could have been reduced and passed to the relevant home owner adjacent to the area. Positive - a variety of house types has allowed the estate to attract a broad age range, the inclusion of bungalows, family homes, starter homes and shared ownerships will allow for greater diversity. Differing house types and finishes are also more pleasing visually. No additional facilities on site. Management company - currently going through transition from builder to residents.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Positives - semi-rural location but within close locality to major transport links, M1, train stations, airports, bus routes. The local town is attracting a good range of businesses, restaurants, pubs, beauty salons, artisan market. All main supermarkets are nearby. The local area has many schools and secondary schools within easy commute. Negative - many new houses being built in the local area, it is a concern with traffic increase, impact on semi-rural space, access to doctors.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I would have liked to have known that the developer had no regard / consideration for residents being in their brand new properties.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    The views, this was the initial attraction point of the property. The estate is quiet and the local town excellent.

    I love the design of our property, however I would advise in the kitchen and utility for more upper storage space, bedrooms are all plenty big enough, bathrooms are perfect and don’t take room off the bedrooms, downstairs storage fantastic and the size of the living room and kitchen/dining room. Particularly happy that the living room isn’t open plan with the kitchen, this is one of the reasons we chose this house as the living room becomes really noisy when it’s open plan with the kitchen like in our old house. Build quality is really good especially for a new build, no paper thin walls!

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Close to lots of local amenities such as shops, schools ect, however not many places for walking routes if unable to drive

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I think we gained really good knowledge from the sales office of the property, so nothing I can think of.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    We love our Integrated kitchen appliances and room layouts of the build

    Excellent views from lounge. Very quiet location, which is what we were looking for. Surprisingly, there is lack of wheelchair and stretcher access to some properties. Should be consideration for future developments. Nicely designed properties and development.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Tranquility and views are definitely the best bits. Closest shops are in Bolsover. Probably best to have own transport.

    How overlooked we would be at the back of our property.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Views from the lounge are amazing - it was this that made us want to live here.

    It very good and open planed and it's a great development but could have made the living space a bit bigger but the size of the garden is great I love it but part from the living room I think the design is okay facilities are okay and building is Okay

    It's a quite area but there not many shops

    The size of the living room is small but okay the kitcken Is a good size

    That's its all open planned and easy to watch the toddler
