    Building and property management has been great, for a new build very few issues so only had to contact developers once or twice and was easily resolved so not much contact with management if anything. In terms of design the house is fine but design of estate layout could have been better.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Good: Easy regular bus access, convenient to get anywhere in Manchester, supermarkets Local also plus getting onto motorway even with traffic isn’t too bad. Location wise can’t fault. From where I am no noise traffic or any sort of noise complaints. School local so there are a lot of teenagers coming by but no anti social behaviour either. Bad: the junction getting out is a nightmare (not towards motorway) especially at rush hour, would be easily solved with better placed traffic lights/control.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    One of the reasons I bought the house was due to the view looking towards the windmills/hills this has now been blocked off by more development work which I wasn’t aware of initially

    What is the best feature of your home:

    The kitchen. Really good size for a three bedroom home and that of a new build too.

    Good site manager Very accommodating when on site. Good price and location Once site completed hard to engage with customer case re issues Management non existent. Had numerous companies come and cut shared areas never to be seen again so site looks scruffy

    Not maintenance after finishing. Still awaiting snag list to be completed despite sending numerous emails backwards and forwards. Always have tomchase replies

    Snag list deadline is lengthy Communication is poor

    Good size garden and good plot of land. Very happy

    Terrible - couldn’t have picked a worse developer. The house was rushed to meet their deadline, the house was covered in paint once the keys were handed over - it took months and months and constant calls and people in the house to do any of the work and it didn’t feel like it was my home as contractors would be in in the mornings and all day round my house. There are still issues and I am still waiting after 2 years for my garden to be sorted which was an issue I raised over 18 months ago

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    The area is fine to live in - near motorways so good and quick access to Manchester. Not great for transport - better to drive. Has been issues with kids from the local school and a few burglary attempts on a few houses on the estate.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    That more new builds would be built next to me - that the quality of wainhomes were shit. Get a house in the corner so it’s quieter and you’re not overlooked.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Best feature is the fire wall that I had installed after I had moved into the home. Nothing to do with wainhomes. I would say a good thing is I am not overlooked. No one can see into my house or my garden

    We love our home and access to amenities nearby. However, we had to fix a lot of the issues with our home because Wainhomes failed to complete all the issues raised on our 'snag list'. Unfortunately, the green areas are uninviting and not used by many residents.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    A convenience store and post office are a walk away. Great access to the nature reserve, which is a short walk from the estate.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    The estate, for the most part, is very quiet in almost all parts.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    We have a good-sized garden for a small new-built home.

    The site is relatively well thought ahead, we have a cycle/walking route through it and also a children’s park area which provides some open space. The houses are not crammed in as some other developments can be, and everything is well maintained so far.

    Spar shop nearby plus a post office in walking distance. Motorway links very good, near to M60 and M62

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Traffic on main road is poor especially at peak times of the day, would’ve been useful to see local traffic data

    What is the best feature of your home:

    House design is very practical and well laid out, with thought given to a more modern open plan living
