Solum is a joint venture between Network Rail and Kier. The joint venture was established to develop mixed-use spaces in locations including Epsom, Haywards Heath, Kingswood, Walthamstow and Twickenham. It aims to reimagine the way railway land is used so it can better serve the community, whilst providing homes. Solum also strives to build high quality, environmentally friendly new homes close to London's transport hubs. Walthamstow Gateway is a Solum property in Walthamstow, right next to the station for easy access to the West End and the City. Striking the balance between connected urban living and a sense of space for residents and the wider community; the development includes 148 new homes, hotel and also retail next to Walthamstow Central station. Twickenham Gateway is the transformational redevelopment of Twickenham Station; a brand new station building in the centre of a public plaza hosting a Sainsbury’s Local, M&S Food Hall and more.     The design is decent! It’s not my idea choice but it’s better than the others I seen before. The building around the area are extremely big and long like how are you guys gonna take it down if you were too make a school on that building site? But it has a nice view

    The area is okay! There’s lots of people too make friends with I just don’t like how people have parties and volume is way too loud

    People will make so much noise during the night

    Good building design, building management and property management. The aspect is such that it offers great views of the surrounding area stretching to central London. Smart finish to flat and the communal lobby areas. Also good connectivity for TV and internet.

    Location is great, but being over a train station, not enough sound insulation or Aircon. No major issues with flat except a door not up to regs. But many issues with communal areas and facilities such as building door, plumbing and lifts.

    Fantastic location, right outside tube. Supermarket, markets and local shops all on your doorstep.

    The wind ventilation system has issues. It will whistle loudly and can cause air pressure issues.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

    Better doors, windows, and lifts. the main door is needlessly automatic and struggles in wind. Lifts often oos, doors not well sealed.

    Very nice location and solid style, fittings and design for value. Facilities are good - access to bins and bike Locks are good. It would be good if we had a concierge in the reception. I think this could be funded at a reasonable rate by the residents and would add security and mitigate minor issues we have in the reception area.

    The area is great - great community, diversity, shops, walks and transport links

    Reasonably well. I understand that they have to manage many people with their respective concerns so generally happy.
