Origin Housing is a UK housing association operating in North London and Hertfordshire. Origin Housing owns and manages some 6,500 homes, and provides affordable residential units to buy and for rent, along with community care and support services. Watermill Lane is an Origin Housing development in North London's Edmonton area, next door to North Middlesex Hospital. It's built on the site of an old staff accommodation block which dated back to the 1970s. Half of Watermill Lane's 221 units are let out to hospital staff, while the rest are a mix of shared ownership and rental units. "The development is well designed and the units a fair size, with a mix of different tenancy and ownership options. The building are designed to be eco friendly and retain heat well. The facilities are good although the lift in our building breaks down often. It’s usually fixed within a day or two but is a source of minor inconvenience.     Good but a few small issues.

    The building is nice, fairly clean and easy to navigate inside. The design is a bit plain inside but ok, and the building itself is not very well marked from the outside, the sign is quite small. The lifts work most of the time but the parking barrier in the carpark has been broken more than it works.

    There are lots of amenities within a 5m walk. Grocery stores, butchers and plenty of restaurants in the area. Bus links are good and very close, and the nearest tube station is a 5-8m walk away.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I wish I'd known there was planning permission on progress to build a hotel next door.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    The best feature is the high ceilings. The place seems much more spacious than other new build apartments that I saw before purchasing a property.

    The development is ok. The design is quite plain and the white walls can sometimes get dirty. Security sometimes isn’t up to standard as parcels go missing but the building is kept clean and bins empties regularly. The maintenance can be a bit slow and lifts can sometimes be broken for a few days. The car park barrier is always broken.

    There are lots of restaurants and pubs in the local area as well as grocery stores, pharmacies and butchers.

    Wish I’d known there was about to be a hotel or other high rise building next door.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    The best feature is the spacious rooms which make the place feel larger than most new build apartments.

    IT is good development with many modern amenities it is nice to have a place in this lovely society. There are some issues because of mis management of managing company but that can be fixed. There are some good and bad things but if we compare good with bad good wins

    Area is noce. Very close to a Tube station and local market. We have Aldi and Waitrose in walking distance

    Communal boiler is one of the thing to be known along with automatic doors

    Flat is big and nice facilities like underfloor heating and airwent system. Property is managed by origin which is a shame because they are really struggling to manage it and making it bad or deterioration of Property. But good things are like automatic doors. Only drawback is cctv which is not accessible remotely

    It is a nice area with shops and local market around and supermarkets like waitress and aldi in walking distance range also south Harrow Station is very close which makes this development nice place

    No window in the kitchen which is not good but it has extractor fan

    U shaped kitchen and underfloor heating along with big carpet area

    design of the flat is good with airvent etc. underfloor heating is also good. Parking is a big issue. There are around 120 flats and just around 40 parking. 3 flats with 1 parking. security doors are broken many times and taking time to get fixed increasing the security risk. any complaints raised on phone is not getting recorded we need to send them a email to create a proof

    Response from building management is very poor. we need to raise multiple calls and emails to get a response
