    The design could be improved. Although there are big sized bedrooms, the downstairs w/c is quite big so takes up space. The facilities are great, and building management. The ongoing inspections are good as any issues csn be addressed snd resolved quickly.

    Good: good access to main road such as belgrave road, close to city centre, parking facilities are great. Well lit roads and houses. Bad: only one road to enter and exit, need a local shop.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Yes i have reported issues and they have sent out someone quickly.

    I have a river facing house which is nice for views but we hardly ever use the fromt of the house

    I love the house, it’s beautiful and cosy. I enjoy living next to the canal. Property management is good with issues sorted out quickly. Rent has gone up which is not so great. The location of the property is fantastic, close to shops but also nature like Watermead Park

    Good - location to town and lovely walks, quiet and feels safe Bad - people don’t understand bin collection and rip rubbish

    Quickly and helpfully, was able to email or use the online system

    Parking spaces are allocated and certain houses get two.

    Great location, great building, could be more energy efficient

    The building itself has been well designed and is lovely to live in. Modern design with great amenities including a washer/dryer, dish washer, fridge freezer, oven and hob etc. Energy rating is awful and the lack of insulation of the property means bills are incredibly high, however can be overlooked when considering the overall ease of living here. Building management is handled well, always clean in the hallways and outside of the property is well kept.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Great range of local shops, not many restaurants but as to be expected further out from the centre. Open space next to abbey park is fantastic and convenient. Abbey park road hasn’t been developed well and the road leading into the housing development is heavily populated. Would be better as permit parking to allow residents to park only. Lots of littering happens outside our property from drivers, I have personally picked up a lot of waste from local littering individuals which has been harmful to local wildlife.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    We requested an extractor fan repair which took 4 months to be attended to however everything else has been dealt with really well

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    The building is always quiet and all neighbours are friendly. Bills will be higher than expected and there’s a lot of bugs being next to the river.

    Great new area to move to

    The design of the buildings are very pleasing to look at and nice and new looking. The area is easy to walk around. The facilities are nice and up to date which has helped moving in and living in the area. The management are very helpful and accommodating.

    There is a big asda around the corner which is very convenient and close to abbey park which is very nice to go and walk.

    Yes, whenever we have had any problems they have always helped

    I wish I knew how convenient all of the shops are as I could have done my shopping after I moved in

    Lock44 - A great place to live

    The house itself is super modern and well designed - everything makes sense in terms of layout and I loved the face we had white goods included. The property team is super responsive and doesn’t bother you too much at all. It’s also great that they arrange for the grass to be cut and windows to be cleaned - you can tell they care about the place and it shows!

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    I was surprised by how quiet it is here. It’s great having the canal and park so close for those who like nature. Being able to get to town in 5 mins is also great, with lots of transport links close by. There’s ample parking and I haven’t noticed any antisocial behaviour. The main annoyance is the fact there’s only one way in to the development which is often crowded by cars making a two way road a one way road! This is amplified when there’s events at the park, but I’ve grown used to it…

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    They have been really responsive to any requests or issues

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Abbey park attracts a lot of people to the area, who often can disrupt the flow of traffic into the development. Just be warned!
