    Great location for village life

    We purchased our home based on the excellent, modern design and we are very happy we did so. We have amazing garden privacy and two off-street parking spaces, which is something I didn’t think I would be able to get in a new build. This is my first home, and I understand snagging is very common, but we are still working through some of these a year into living here.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    This is a great area to live, with a post office, pub, great cafe, and train station all within 5/10 minutes walking distance. Yeovil and Sherborne are also both 10 minutes drive away, both of which have a lot of facilities, services and shops.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    They have been very attentive to most our issues, which we have been very grateful for, however we still have some outstanding issues that are yet to be resolved.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I wish I had asked for some of our early conversations in writing. There were a couple of things we noticed before completion, which the salesperson advised would be resolved before moving in, which weren’t. They have since been resolved but with more disruption than would have been the case if they had been resolved before we moved in.

    The development is nice. Not to big big like a rabbit warren! Our road is quiet with little disruption. Houses are built very well . The open space design inside is very spacious. The garden is just the right amount of space. The Neighbours and builders are friendly. We are very happy!

    The area is lovely. A quiet village but close to bigger towns if required. Surrounded by fields and more fields. Perfect.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Very swift to any problems we've had. Maintenence workers are very helpful.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Good note- we were made very welcome. Bad note - more information ref the flooding in the village.

    The development is very stylish, a lot of thought has gone in to making every house look slightly different, so everything is unique. All with good size gardens and private parking. All the site is always clean and maintained very well. All in all very please with everything they have built

    Lovely little village, not to far away from the local towns. The village has a good shop, pub and school. So very good for everyone

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    There have been minimal problems, as you expect with a new build. But have been all sorted in double quick time

    Nothing really. Everything was so well explained before moving

    Some really good extra features included in the build like mirrors in bathroom/wooden internal doors. Definitely a higher level of finish internally than other new builds which I have seen in the area. No requirement to get any extras with a high finish

    Great village with sense of community. Train station in the centre of village is really convenient taking you to Bath & Bristol or Dorchester/Weymouth.

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Very quick responses to any issues I had and on hand to answer any questions

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Make sure you check the site plan and build start dates for each house. Had a house built down our road a year later after moving in and can be inconvenient re noise/mud etc

    Houses are well built with no major issues, when there are issues the aftercare team are fantastic and usually fix any problem within 24 hours from issue being reported. The houses have been well thought out for families, with plenty of storage space

    Very peaceful area with access to a village shop/pub/cafes. All houses have access to 2 parking spaces

    How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

    Issues were resolved within 24 hours, answer was always given of issue wasn’t resolved

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Setting up the council tax was rather tricky, unsure why the council took so long
