    A pleasant development in a wonderful town, let down somewhat by poor estate management

    Park View is nicely designed and laid out, with a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of green spaces. The variety of house types gives it an ambience than is missing in many modern developments. Sadly, we are let down by the estate management, which has been contracted out to a third party who are taking our money and doing very little with it. Since they took over the care of the shared spaces has significantly declined, whilst the third party is threatening to "significantly" increase estate management fees. They let down the development, and I'm hoping we can get them removed.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Woodstock is a wonderful little town with all of the necessities and a great Cotswold charm. It is also a convenient distance to Oxford, albeit with far fewer buses than we had a few years ago. In addition, Kidlington and Witney are only a few minutes drive or bus ride away, giving access to the amenities of a bigger town. Having Blenheim Palace on our doorstep is a mixed blessing - it is a great place to visit and walk around, but sometimes their events are disruptive to local life, through noise and excessive traffic.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    There will be an awful lot of snagging to be done, which will need a keen eye for detail and persistence with the developer.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    The house is a beautiful design, with nice features such as real wooden windows and doors. Best of all is the huge garden. It wasn't a very well constructed garden (lots of patches that pooled water, and turfing and patio laying that was very low quality), but the size is amazing.

    Beautiful new estate designed sympathetically to local Cotswold area

    Park View is a well designed development. Designed sympathetically and in keeping with local Cotswold properties. Each house has individual elements. A mix of Cotswold stone, rendering and red brick houses. Dry stone walls at the entrance to the estate give an authentic touch. Good green spaces and plants in keeping with local area. Good size gardens and designed so all get sun. Interiors are done to a high standard. Maintenance by Pye Homes good. Property management company seems ok to so far. Area well maintained.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Easy walk into Woodstock with great independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Five minute walk to gates of Blenheim Palace. Local residents friendly. Lovely place to live.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    Planting constraints imposed are quite frustrating and feel a bit over kill.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Well designed, beautiful to look at, high quality inside.
