    Farrier's Reach as a whole is an excellent new development. The housing prices are good value for money and affordable, especially for young tenants or first time buyers. The location is great and within walking distance to the town centre and multiple supermarkets. The building management team are helpful and promptly deal with any queries. The only two small issues is the limited broadband providers available and the terrible road surfaces - hopefully this is soon to be resolved!

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    Excellent area to live in with lots of great local amenities. Nice range of local and national shops, along with superb pubs, restaurants and cafes and a lovely regular market. There is a number of pleasant parks and walking routes. Excellent parking facilities with a number of free spaces available for short stays. Regular trains are very handy - the only downside is the level crossing through the centre of town which can sometimes cause delays when travelling by car. Living on our street we have no issues with parking availability or traffic noise and bin collections are always prompt.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    The only thing I wish I'd known before moving in is the limited availability of broadband providers. In an attempt to be organised, before moving in I contacted Sky to arrange set up to then find out the service was unavailable to us.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    A lovely new build in a lovely location with modern fixtures and fittings.

    Houses are modern and have really good facilities. It’s a lovely area and has ample green space and is close to the centre of town and train station. The houses are really well built and have lots of space. Parking spaces are good and the people on site are really helpful.

    Really convenient location. I have to get the train for work and I’m only a 5 minute walk away. Good location to shops and town centre. Nice area.

    Get input from others for colour schemes and opinions as a solo buyer it really helps

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Open plan kitchen dining area and small utility area. Lots of storage spaces.

    It is a good development. The location is excellent location because of proximity to work, public schools, public restaurants, public transportation, public gym, church and healthcare It is easy to get to any part of the town fro here and there’s no worrying issues

    I am not sure whether it is part of the plan to create another green space but it would be good for the many children that play outside each day. It would be good if they can start improving the quality of the streets and sidewalks. I understand they probably want to wait for construction to finish but the road is in a terrible condition. The side walks as you drive into the development is also terrible and can do with some improvement. There are obviously also people that house share so it is annoying having to drive out of the estate with all the extra vehicles parked on the side of the road or on the side walk.

    Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

    It's still very noisy due to all of the construction vehicles. Area is good with shops nearby. They could definitely add another green space.

    Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

    I find the quality of the house in general not very positive. We have a lot of tiny things that need to be repaired. The can use a little higher quality things in the house - bathtub, shower, paint. Some bits look cheaply done - skirting boards are going yellow and we have not even been in the house for a year. Even though we take good care of our property it just looks really warn after just 10 months on the house and that is because of the low quality of materials they use to build it.

    What is the best feature of your home:

    We love the size of our kitchen/dining room. We also enjoy our back garden.

    Disappointing Allison Hones

    Moving into a new build gave us the opportunity to buy our first home. Unfortunately, our experience has been less than stellar with Allison Homes- things not done before completion, issues with our solar panels and damp in the garage, poor quality and finish throughout, roads still not complete, everywhere overrun with weeds and nettles, applications for further development despite assurances before buying that the area would be farmland. I’d never deal with them again.

    Nettleham is a wonderful village served by a decent array of shops and with easy access to most of the main routes of Lincolnshire

    Get everything in writing- every offer, conversation and decision on fittings!

    What is the best feature of your home:

    Can’t fault the location, and the fact that we were able to use Help to Buy
