Spenhill Reviews

“New development in Streatham, great location, next to train station which goes to the City, etc. Next to 24 hours Tesco. Light modern apartments with wooden floors, glass balconies. 24 hour concierge/ security. Rooftop garden. Streatham is great area to live with Marks and Spencer’s, high street shops delis and great pubs.” – SarahH, verified resident at Derry Court

New build so the apartment is modern and clean even though I didn’t directly buy new, it seemed pretty new.

New build so the apartment is modern and clean even though I didn’t directly buy new, it seemed pretty new. Contractors been really good with bunch of small things. In the 4 years I’ve lived here the service charges havnt gone up which is great.
Staff are great, we have 24 hour concierge and they are really friendly. Creates a community in the building as I say hello and goodbye to them everyday. And when the building changed management there was a collective worry that the staff would charge but it didn’t. That kind of reaction just shows you how much we value them.
Beautiful – no design issues here they have rubbish shoots just in hallway which is so handy, don’t have to go outside to throw the trash out. Just lots of small design details that make the different like there are two SKY plugs, and other stuff like that. Really well thought out.
The area just outside is really quiet and calm. I have balcony and because of the church I know he land next to me won’t be developed and it’s great knowing my awesome view is safe.
Lastly I live above a 24 hour Tesco extra, which is the most handy thing ever. Can do shopping whenever we want and you can even get your Keys cut on bottom floor and a bunch of other facilities.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Pretty awesome place to live, there is tons of transport links so it’s super easy to get around. Common near by which is lovely. This building is right in the hub, close to everywhere and was built recently.
Always something going on near by.
Since moving to area more and more shops have opened and it just keeps expanding and getting bigger it’s great.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not really, used to love near by so I already knew the area really well.

Once very exclusive modern with historical design features to Royal Artillery naval base Army. However Berkeley have No connection with military or any obligation to keep with this themes! Instead building a concrete jungle to make landscapes to resemble Hongkong skyscrapers for lucrative income investment to line Berkely & Rendal Rittner pockets for their shareholders profits!!

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Transportation excellent New EL, DLR, trains, buses
However this also brings within pubic nuisance Non residents entering area free to roam with families free to set-up public gatherings to meet-up for hours on-end litter noise pollution bad children behaviour consequences undesirable for residents

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Area outside the new building Hennessy ( Compass)
Public kindergarten area with water jets! We’re were provided wrong miss-sold information Private gated area! Instead no peace noise outside 24/7 noisy with outside families having picnics & barbecues. Fountain for display ambiance children using for paddling pool area unsupervised by adults who are drinking liquor litter etc…

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Brilliantly helped Mark excellent advice given and absolutely been following up with our building issues. Sorted carpark issues several occasions. All thankfully resolved. However sales team never listen once keys given to customers. I wanted to go to Trustpilot to say not to buy new properties near river bank from Woolwich development

Convenient area, nice looking developement but low quality details

The layout of the flat is nice, with new furniture. It is well insulated and it has a great soundproofing. There is a family next door with kids and I never hear a thing!
The flat itself is comfortable and had a big window door for ventilation.
The development looks nice but many details are in poor quality and wear out quickly, such as door handles and rails which got rusty and broke down.
For every sort of issue we can easily reached out to the management which had an office just round the corner and provides quick and efficient service.

I chose this development because it’s close to where I work and near to amenities.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Convenient are for shops and travel. Near the station. The block is nice and new. It has a beautiful playground in the middle for the kids and the area is safe and quiet.
The neighbours however are not so friendly and sociable and keep for themselves, so there is not much sense of community.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the doors keep breaking and sometimes it doesn’t feel safe because of broken doors

Why did you choose this development:

Because it’s close to where I work and near to amenities

Really nice people, what it’s all about.

Quiet, peaceful area.

Transport nice and easy.

Cant complain about anything, the shops are all good.

Doctors surgery is never overcrowded.

Buildings are kept well, people always complain about something, nothings perfect, that’s normal, but for me it’s good. I’ve lived in far worse areas.

Parking is a problem.

The building management are very good and very quick response, no problems at all.

I didn’t want to move, but I had to, if I’d known it was so nice I would have moved years ago.
