Light modern apartments with wooden floors, glass balconies. 24 hour concierge/ security. Rooftop garden. Good Vibes

New build so the apartment is modern and clean even though I didn’t directly buy new, it seemed pretty new. Contractors been really good with bunch of small things. In the 4 years I’ve lived here the service charges havnt gone up which is great.
Staff are great, we have 24 hour concierge and they are really friendly. Creates a community in the building as I say hello and goodbye to them everyday. And when the building changed management there was a collective worry that the staff would charge but it didn’t. That kind of reaction just shows you how much we value them.
Beautiful – no design issues here they have rubbish shoots just in hallway which is so handy, don’t have to go outside to throw the trash out. Just lots of small design details that make the different like there are two SKY plugs, and other stuff like that. Really well thought out.
The area just outside is really quiet and calm. I have balcony and because of the church I know he land next to me won’t be developed and it’s great knowing my awesome view is safe.
Lastly I live above a 24 hour Tesco extra, which is the most handy thing ever. Can do shopping whenever we want and you can even get your Keys cut on bottom floor and a bunch of other facilities.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Pretty awesome place to live, there is tons of transport links so it’s super easy to get around. Common near by which is lovely. This building is right in the hub, close to everywhere and was built recently.
Always something going on near by.
Since moving to area more and more shops have opened and it just keeps expanding and getting bigger it’s great.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Not really, used to love near by so I already knew the area really well.

Derry Court

Streatham High Road is full of great amenities, with lots of nice independent coffee shops and restaurants springing up. The Tesco is very useful and the leisure centre next door is very convenient. Great transport links so really easy to commute into London. The road can be noisy at times but, the direction our apartment faces (the Victorian terraced houses) is very peaceful. We joke that it doesn’t feel like London at all! We’ve made some great friends with our neighbours. There is a good community network that has been helpful in asking for advice from other residence too. The concierge staff are wonderful – we’re always greeted with a smile – and general building management have improved since we moved here over 5 years ago. Our apartment is wonderful and spacious – a lovely spec and enough storage to house everything we need

Up and coming area

Up and coming, lots of new restaurants popping up in the area.

Overground never works properly.

Local gym closes at 9pm which is not good for a Mum.

Playground is nice to have.

Strict rules for balcony which are a bit frustrating.

The building management has been really good up until my contact changed recently. Now have to chase them with problems still outstanding. So seems to be the individual.

Friendly community

I really love open space layout of my apartment. It is Large for a 1 bed apartment. It has a modern design which I love and an amazing kitchen space which is great for my weekly brunches with friends. The building quality is great and they also provide good maintenance service.

Unfortunately however the service charge keeps increasing.

Underground parking is only available if you have 2 beds plus.
