We are getting our parents to move in too!

We love this development, we currently live in the Blackheath area but we want to stay close to friends and family and also take advantage of the developments happening in Greenwich for a longer term investment. Wewould like to buy and moved in with our daughter – we love the facilities here with pool/gym/tennis court/childrens area/parking it just makes life so easy. My parents are looking to downsize but didn’t want to move out of London so they are also considering buying! – it is great that they will be here and I can keep an eye on them but also all the facilities mean they stay active but I don’t have to worry about my dad stressing about the ongoing issues with our tired family home.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If buying off plan speak to the team if you have specific requirements on your kitchen preferences (i do!) they are very accomodating

Couldn’t make our stuff fit

This is a criticism of most new build developments but we have struggled to find somewhere that works for us and fitting some of our furniture and items that are important to us – it is like they expect people to move in without any history! or just to buy all new things!

The living area is beautiful but with windows on two sides and the kitchen on another where do you put book shelves, chest of drawers, side units, wall mounted tv. In the second bedroom with it being 10 by 10 and windows on one side and fitted wardrobe it didnt leave much room for much else after the bed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We ended up putting some furniture in storage that we didn’t want to get rid of, the flat is beautiful but lends itself to uncluttered living as everything feels on display.

Great Apartments – communal areas need improving

The apartments are very well designed on the whole although underfloor heating would have been a nice touch.
The communal areas however need major improvement; They look cheap and are not in keeping with other buildings on the development.
Customer Service were very dismissive of this and unwilling to improve. The bike cage was also not up to standard and has seen regular break ins.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The location is perfectly located right on the river and only 10 minute walk into bustling central Greenwich and transport hubs.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The south side gets EXTREMELY hot during summer months but luckily we have a large balcony so the sun is kept out of the windows during summer months.

What is the best feature of your home:

The view is stunning and being south side we get the sun all year round!

Lovely place to live and work

The development is really special. The way the buildings are designed means most flats get a view of the river (and the views are great) and they are far apart from each other that one feels connected but private. The security inside the building is also good with only residents of a particular floor having access to that floor – so it feels quite cosy. The quality of the build is also good and we do not hear the neighbours except when on the balcony but that is only to be expected and it does not disturb. There is interior parking and we have an enormous private storage area of 17 square metres. There is a concierge service who are very nice and professional.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Greenwich itself is a wonderful place with a nice centre and of course the beautiful park, and we are a short walk – 15 mins – along the river path with no cars to reach it. There all kinds of restaurants and shops are available for different tastes. There are a couple of smaller supermarkets right next door and a larger Waitrose can be reached by bicycle – again without going on a single road.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I had not realised there would be a yearly fee – 200 pounds – to pay for the right to use the car park, even when I bought the car parking space.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management responded immediately to some small issues we had when we moved in but since then everything is working. The service charges are quite high though. The garage is usually dirty from all the building work – they are completing the final building now but hopefully this will get better after that.
