Very noisy and heavy vibrations.

The development is fine, it has a lift and a car park which makes it very comfortable. Also, the flat is warm and spacious. The only issue is the location, just next to the scrap yard, the noise and vibrations coming from it makes it very difficult to live here. Also, when a heavy vehicle such as a van or a truck pass near the building, you can feel heavy vibrations which feels similar to an earthquake. This does not happen with cars, so it is not continuesly happening

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The scrapyard is very very noisy, you can not relax at home from 8 am until 5 pm from Monday to Saturday. Also, you can feel heavy vibrations that make even your furniture move. If you work from home, it is very stressful or if you need to work night shifts, it makes it impossible to sleep during the day. You feel how the stress in your body builds up. Otherwise, the area is quiet during the evening and has easy access to city center from the beautiful park nearby.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The noise and vibrations coming from the scrapyard.

Sailmaker Road Review

Design of the flats are great, each have either a balcony or garden wich are very spacious. Building is wind proof & solid. Good bin store facilities & parking as well as bike racks. Building management are great & are always on hand to help fix things. Property management are excellent to deal with & are only a phone call away.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Up & coming community with lots of restaurants along Leith Shore. Some great cafes also! With the new tram line getting installed it will be easier to get from Leith to the Airport

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

We knew this area was going to be up & coming & a good community to bring up children. With Leith Links close by & Leith Shore only 5mins away it really is a great location to live.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

They have responded brilliantly with any issues we have had.

Good place to stay

Nice flats, very big compared to other flats in the area. Finishings aren’t top notch but but that is being pedantic really. The location can be a downer overlooking the scrap yard as it can be noisey in one half of the property but I think some parts of the development can dodge that

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Leith is a great area to stay, particularly for younger adults

Lovely build only let down is the noise

The building it’s self is great I love the underground car parking as I can simply park my car out of the way of bad weather and simply jump into the elevator straight to my floor , the care taker looks after the building to a good standard and the place is always clean .

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

I like the underground parking , I like how close we are to the amenities and the beach but I don’t like the fact we are a stone’s throw to a very noisy junk yard and a construction site .

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had know how long the building project across from us would last also how noisy the junk yard was.
