An Unforgettable Experience Worthy of My First Review Ever

I’ll admit, I’ve never been one to write reviews, but Loxley Heights has changed that for me. This place is something special. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for an extraordinary experience. The staff here genuinely cares about the residents, making me feel valued and right at home. I have everything I need as an PhD student and more. The free gym access is a game changer, keeping me active and motivated. And let’s not forget about the stunning sky lounge it’s truly something out of a dream, providing the perfect escape and breathtaking views. But what truly sets Loxley Heights apart is the sense of community it fosters. The constant activities and events bring people together. Trust me, It’s an atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere.
In short, Loxley Heights has left an indelible mark on me. It’s an experience that goes beyond words, and I couldn’t resist sharing my thoughts. If you’re looking for a place that exceeds expectations and feels REALLY like home, Loxley Heights is the answer.

To the incredible team/staff at Loxley Heights, thank you for creating an environment that’s truly awesome. Your dedication and warmth have made all the difference, and I’m grateful for the exceptional experience I’ve had here.

Living in the city center provides unparalleled convenience and accessibility. Uni of Sheffield is in a walkable distance. Essential amenities such as grocery stores, shopping centers, restaurants, entertainment venues, and public transportation options are usually within walking distance, making daily life easier and more efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

If there’s one thing I wish I had known before I moved in, it would be that this incredible building existed from the very beginning of my time in Sheffield. Being able to experience the amenities, the welcoming staff, and the vibrant community right from the start would have made my transition to the city even more enjoyable and memorable.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

No problem so far. But whenever I have a question, they are always offering help.

Loxley Heights Sheffield Review

Loxley Heights is a new build with a modern design. It is pet friendly. It includes a gym, rooftop lounge, and multiple private/communal areas to book. The flats themselves are furnished and with a modern design. The property management is excellent, and they are very attentive to issues and genuinely make an effort to get to know the tenants.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

The flat is in the heart if Sheffield city, just off of one of the main streets. There is extremely easy access to local grocery stores/asian grocery stores, and a short walk to the city centre. There is a good coffee shops, independent bars and global cuisine scene. The transport is regular enough and has bus or tram access to the wider Sheffield area. There are also multiple local parks and gardens to visit, as well as a variety of activities to do: from galleries, museums, escape rooms, to ice rinks and climbing centres just wider afield.

A downside to living so close to the city center, especially with street facing windows, is the noise late on weekend nights. And I wouldn’t want to be walking alone in certain areas of the city at night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Lots of the communal areas are available to students who live in the sister building, so make sure to fully book any areas for events, or be up to sharing places.
There is no bin chutes build in, so all bins /recycling has to be taken to an external bin store.
There is also no parking available for this development but there is a bike rack

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There is a app or reception to log any issues. So far I’ve only had to request maintenance a few times and they were very speedy with the resolution.

You’ll struggle to find a better place in Sheffield

Amazing facilities. The lobby is great for working and watching sporting events, and the sky lounge is a perfect location for hosting events and working, with an amazing view of the city that go as far as Meadowhall. Both can be booked for private events upon request.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Plenty of nearby stores, a few are open as late as 5AM every day. It’s a 2 minute walk to the nearest tram stop, and a 15 minute walk/7 minute tram ride to Sheffield train station. Parking is located across the road. The only noise I have noticed is the occasional sound of surrounding bars emptying bottles in to their bins at night.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The building gets very quiet during the months when the nearby universities are taking breaks

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I’ve only had one issue in my time here, and building maintenance were at my apartment in less than 30 minutes.

Love living here :)

The flats are beautiful! The Juliet balcony is my favourite feature. There is so much light to the flats which i really love. The bathroom is too small but is still beautifully done. Bedroom is big and spacious. The bed is big and the curtains are excellent. You have a security system in the flat too so you can see who is outside the building and who to let in.
The downside would be community utilities as a billing agent. They add on service charges which are definitely unfair. They have a 1 star out of 5 for their company which says enough. They are an awful company and I wish they weren’t involved in the energy bills. They are a part of amber energy so I wouldn’t recommend them.
The staff are always kind and helpful, they will go above and beyond and it’s clear how much they care about what they do. In particular, Joe is always extremely charismatic and brings great energy. The sky lounge is beautiful and the lounge downstairs is amazing. You can also use the study room so it caters for everyone. I’m sad the rent went up as it felt quite high to start.
The property is beautiful and has staff that make it amazing. I love living here and think it’s an amazing place.

Please tell us what you like and dislike about this area:

Love the location! You are close to everything and to be honest the windows are quite sound proof so you aren’t going to be too bothered by west street noise it’s great. You are also on a street that’s not as busy so you can enjoy a bit more quiet. Tenants are all nice and respect each other! We face the court yard which is great and I would recommend that too. You get to have a lovely view of the dogs outside and it’s just nice.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I think definitely just the bills side of things as you will have a service charge and then 20% VAT added to that so it’s just a pain.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The only thing is they should change their energy supplier. I imagine it’s not an easy ask but that would definitely keep anyone from moving out due to community utilities. The team always respond quickly and help with everything. I cannot fault them.
